I had a unique experience at the farm as Marta and the children were not there during my week stay but Tim was welcoming and accommodating. However, he was quite preoccupied with work meetings, making him unable to be as hands on with facilitating a community experience. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to another volunteer. The work was easy and caring for the animals was enjoyable. I pastured and milked the goats, fed all the animals, watered, weeded, collected bugs and harvested fruits and vegetables. There's not much in the village to do but there is a nice winery.

Very bad experience - I recommend to not waste your time going here. I had to leave after just 3 days. They're looking for more of a slave than a worker.

Abbiamo in realtà deciso di chiederti di andartene. La vita in fattoria non è per tutti; richiede dedizione, responsabilità e una forte etica del lavoro. Ti auguriamo il meglio nel trovare un ambiente che si adatti meglio a te!

Staying with the farm family was interesting and I had a warm welcome. They live in a nice house in Tök, growing their own food. There are many projects to help in and learn from, feeding the animals, planting fruit trees, working in the garden. You can also play with their kids, who are friendly and kind and curious to learn about new people.

Felippe è una persona straordinaria, con un grande atteggiamento e una forte presenza. È stato determinante in un evento farm-to-table che abbiamo organizzato, nel suo ruolo di chef. Tutti i nostri ospiti sono stati estremamente colpiti dalla qualità del cibo nel menu di 5 portate che ha preparato con ingredienti raccolti nella nostra fattoria e dagli abitanti locali. È venuto qui mentre c'era un grande gruppo e la sua personalità ha tenuto tutti di buon umore. Si è assunto la responsabilità di preparare i pasti per tutti e ha dato un esempio di lavoro positivo. È stato attento al nostro cane e ha dato una mano nel giardino, annaffiando ogni mattina. Ha anche fatto un lavoro fantastico applicando olio di lino a travi appena levigate e alle tavole del pavimento nel nostro soggiorno recentemente ristrutturato e nel bagno. Non vediamo l'ora di andare a trovarlo insieme a sua moglie quando apriranno il proprio ristorante.

Nossa estadia na casa do tim e da marta foi maravilhosa. As atividades são tranquilas de realizar apesar de serem todas braçais! Nosso espaço foi muito gostoso de ficar e as horas de trabalho foram bastante juntas. A comida foi sempre suficiente e o grupo de voluntários que estavam com a gente foi muito legal e especial!

Gabriella è un angelo. È una persona capace con un atteggiamento positivo contagioso. È stata determinante in un evento dalla fattoria alla tavola che abbiamo organizzato, assistendo lo chef, consegnando il cibo, catturando filmati dell'evento e facendo sentire benvenuta tutte le persone intorno a lei. Si è alzata presto, annaffiando i nostri giardini e portando a passeggio il nostro cane. Ha applicato olio di lino alle travi e alle tavole del pavimento nel nostro soggiorno di recente ristrutturato, nel bagno e nella camera da letto. Ha persino aiutato a dipingere la pietra calcarea sulle pareti della nostra camera da letto. Era con noi mentre avevamo un grande gruppo e la sua personalità, atteggiamento e azioni hanno dato un grande esempio ai nostri altri ospiti. Gabriella è stata un'ospite incantevole e una lavoratrice diligente. Non vediamo l'ora di rivederla insieme a suo marito nel prossimo futuro.

Martha and Tim are good people. They tried to make us feel always at home and we learnt diffentent things that surely will help us in the future. They have wonderful kids, they are talented and respectful. We enjoyed playing some fun games with them indeed. Martha cooks perfect and if you enjoy local food, you are lucky because the food is delicious 😋 About the work we know now how to do some small things regarding gardening. This place allows you to connect with nature, get fresh air, to enjoy watching the animals and meet other international volunteers. I highly recommend it.

The time we were at the farm was a pleasant experience. It's a nice family. Tim was always willing to patiently explain things to us and teach us some of what he knows. Marta cooks very well, we tried several Hungarian dishes. She was also always very patiently willing to explain to us the work that had to be done, and she always took good care of us. The children are very talented in music and sports, it was fun to share with them. Overall, the farm was a nice place to spend time, surrounded by nature and animals, away from the pollution and noise of the city. Thank you, the farm family!

Had a great week at the farm! Spent heaps of time in the plentiful garden weeding, watering, caring to the animals and a bit of work on the new house build. Tim the host was friendly and welcoming and the other volunteers made the experience completely worth it. Tok is a cool little rural town about an hour bus from Budapest so great for someone looking to get away from the noise :))

Quinn è un uomo intelligente e capace. È stato veloce ad imparare tutto e molto utile in fattoria. Quinn ha trascorso ore, ogni mattina, ad annaffiare a mano molti metri di patate, aglio e altre verdure. Ci siamo fidati di lui con molte cose, dall'installazione della pompa nel ruscello quotidiano alla cura dei giardini. È stato fantastico con il nostro cane, accompagnandolo regolarmente, mantenendo la sua acqua sempre piena e tenendolo impegnato. Quinn faceva parte di un grande gruppo qui e andava d'accordo con tutti. Ha aiutato a dipingere la nostra camera da letto con pietra calcarea e ha aiutato a ungere alcune travi nei nostri annessi. Ha un ottimo atteggiamento, è estremamente socievole e gli auguriamo il meglio durante i suoi viaggi e oltre.
