Ho trascorso un periodo fantastico soggiornando da Lydia e Stu! L’alloggio è fantastico perché hai il tuo spazio privato con un comodo letto matrimoniale, ma tutti sono così accoglienti che finisci per trascorrere del tempo anche nella casa principale con loro e i cani.\nLe attività quotidiane e i progetti sono spiegati bene, e ho imparato molto su come vivere in modo più sostenibile sfruttando la terra. Le attività non sono difficili e ci sono molte opportunità per lavorare in modo indipendente una volta che sai cosa stai facendo.\nMi manca davvero il mio vecchio cane, quindi ero molto felice di poter portare anche a spasso i cani!\nSono tutti dolcissimi. Mi mancate tutti!

Raccomanderei vivamente di restare qui! Hai il tuo spazio personale e sei circondato da molti cani, pecore, polli e da una capra davvero carina. Il lavoro è molto giusto e rilassato, e la passeggiata fino al centro è breve. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole, e gli host erano davvero cordiali e accoglienti.

Una fattoria così incantevole! Lydia e Stu sono stati degli ottimi ospiti, molto gentili e accoglienti. I quattro cani erano dei veri tesori e mi mancheranno!! Il lavoro nella fattoria era molto flessibile e facile da gestire, e hai molto spazio tutto tuo. La vista dalla proprietà è incredibile e, inoltre, è anche molto vicina al centro. La consiglierei sicuramente.

Lavorare e soggiornare da Lydia e Stu è stata un'esperienza meravigliosa! Sono stati incredibilmente generosi e hanno fatto di tutto per farmi sentire benvenuto. Le sistemazioni erano spaziose e il carico di lavoro intorno alla fattoria era interessante e facile da gestire. Raccomando questa esperienza a chi si sente a proprio agio con il lavoro generale e ha conoscenze di base di giardinaggio e edilizia, poiché lavorerai in modo abbastanza indipendente. Grazie mille per il soggiorno incredibile! Mi mancherà il tempo trascorso con voi e i cuccioli. :)

È stata un'esperienza molto buona; mi è piaciuto molto aiutare nel giardino e anche dare da mangiare agli animali. Il lavoro è molto tranquillo ma costante, c'è sempre qualcosa da fare. Mi mancheranno e anche quelle passeggiate nei meravigliosi dintorni.

Staying with Stu, Lydia, and the doggies was an absolute dream. Not only do you have your own space, but you also have a variety of activities to choose from, so you're never stuck doing the same thing every day. The property is stunning, and there's plenty to do in the area. Thank you guys—I miss you already!

Lydia and Stu were absolutely phenomenal, we would have stayed longer if we could! They were kind, generous and engaging. The farm animals were super cool and we learned a lot about sustainability and living off the land. They accepted us into their home with open arms (so did their 4 dogs!). Thank you Lydia and Stu, we miss you guys and you slice of paradise already!

Lydia and Stu were wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed helping out around the farm, including feeding the chickens and sheep, and helping out in the garden. The best part, however, was getting to spend so much time with their dogs! The work wasn't too difficult, and they were always clear on their instructions. And the property is absolutely beautiful :) would definitely recommend!

Lydia & Stew are the best! Heaps of fun projects to work on and something new to do every day. The farm has a great balance of remote tranquillity combined with accessibility as it is close to town (Paraparaumu). You can get there by train from Wellington and once there, we used their bikes to get around. You have your own space and autonomy to plan your day. From the lush vegetable garden to the pristine filtered water, find out what life can be like on a self-sustaining farm. Primo. 👌 3 weeks flew by! Thank you for creating lasting memories of New Zealand. Tell the dogs we said hi!

My very first volunteer experience: 10/10! The projects we helped with were easy and doable for a city-clueless-person like me 😅 They were always different and could be carried out flexibly. My favourite was providing daily breakfast for the sheep and chickens, so fun! The dogs stole my heart, they are absolutely adorable and will keep you loved and entertained once you are done with the daily tasks. The place is so peaceful yet close to anything you may need. Having our own room and lounge area was great. Lydia, Stu and their family made us feel at home at all times. We'll miss you ❤️🥚
