Ho trascorso un soggiorno incantevole al progetto! La famiglia è stata super accogliente e inclusiva. Ho scelto il progetto per sviluppare ulteriormente le mie competenze da cuoco, nonché per saperne di più sulla loro cultura/modo di vivere. Hanno una casa accogliente circondata da quattro dolcissimi gatti e due cani. Ogni giorno mi veniva chiesto di cucinare il pranzo e la cena insieme al loro figlio. Mi sono anche dedicato a pulire, leggere e fare passeggiate lungo la splendida montagna. C'è sempre stato molto cibo e bevande deliziose! Mi hanno persino insegnato altre competenze di cui sono appassionati (saldatura, ferronneria, fermentazione, ecc.). Sono così grato!

Ho trovato gli host come persone premurose e riflessive che possono essere molto dirette o lasciare spazio dove necessario per il bene comune. Sono così facili da parlare. Ho imparato molto da loro in un ambiente molto confortevole. I dintorni sono splendidi. Gli animali sono così coccolosi. Probabilmente tornerò!

I'm so grateful for my first Worldpackers experience at Bogota the project and recommend it to anyone seeking an adventure. Nestled in the green hills of Croatia this beautiful homestead and family welcomed me with open arms. The work was as agreed upon, tasks often blended into the lifestyle rather than feeling like chores. The rhythm of the days allowed plenty of time to rest and reflect. From shared (yummy) dinners to quiet moments with nature, everyday held something meaningful. Thank you, bogota the project family for showing me what intentional living looks like, I'll carry it with me wherever I go.

The time I spent at the project was the best of my life. The people, the work, the environment, everything is amazing. It was my first volunteering experience and I would without a doubt recommend it to everyone. Peter, Barbara, Fleur and Nol made me feel comfortable immediately, I was able to express myself and grow as a person. I also have to say, coming from a former picky eater, the food is definitely amazing, there wasn't a single meal I didn't absolutely love during my stay. Wouldn't change my time there for anything in the world. Highly recommend!

Questa è stata un'esperienza positiva. Una buona famiglia, un bel pezzo di terra, quattro gatti adorabili, e due cani carini. Sono stato qui per cucinare con il loro figlio Nol, che sfortunatamente è stato malato per gran parte del mio soggiorno, tuttavia mi hanno dato molto tempo libero e libertà per cucinare i pasti. Tè delizioso e kombucha sono rimasti a disposizione.

I had a great and enriching experience at the project! I learned a lot about permaculture, the rhythm of nature, and the value of building a meaningful project with people from different backgrounds. Unfortunately, the other expected volunteers canceled, and since the farm is quite remote (no bus to the town), I felt a bit alone and dependent on the family for transport and social life. Despite these two personal challenges, I truly enjoyed the hands-on learning in the garden and the care of animals. Barbara and Peter were kind and generous, and I'm very grateful for this experience.

Essa família é top! Eu recebi um Trailer que era minha casa. Trabalhei em construção, limpeza e organização. Foram dias de algumas consversas com Peter.. onde alcançei novos conhecimentos sobre o Charlei. PS.: Em dias com calor sempre acontece um banho de rio. Obrigado pelos lindos e divertidos dias!

Charlei. Ingegnere di grande qualità. Aiuta a fare, progettare e costruire in modo facile e divertente. È un uomo molto autonomo. Ha un comportamento tranquillo ed esemplare. Ama ridere, una birra e buon cibo. È una persona molto piacevole con cui stare. Abbiamo fatto molto nel gettare le basi per un fuoco aperto con camino. Ha anche guidato un gruppo di scout nel spostare materiali da costruzione lontano da una posizione privilegiata. Senza dubbio, molto raccomandabile. È sempre benvenuto.

I have absolutely LOVED my experience at the project and would recommend to anyone who wants to slow down and reconnect with nature. Barbara, Peter and the family were super welcoming and always made sure I had everything I needed. The working hours were as described and flexible depending on the weather and what times we decided worked best for our group. The work its self was not overly strenuous and varied from day to day. The facilities and accommodation were great. I learnt a lot about sustainability and permaculture. Super grateful for the experience !!!

I really enjoyed my (first) Worldpackers experience at the project! The environment is beautiful, amazingly green and peaceful. Barbara & Peter are very flexible and very happy to share all their knowledge. Also: it's a big plus that Nol is a chef-to-be, so they prepare dinner every evening! Especially for 'meat eaters' a real treat, but they took my vegetarianism in account as well! I'll definitely miss this place, and all the dogs and cats as well. Hopefully we'll meet again :)

I had a very interesting and rewarding 3-week stay at the lush forest compound of Bogota the project where I stayed in my own private camper. Baking sourdough bread, foraging wild strawberries for cheesecake and nettles for soup, picking a variety of herbs for salad in the garden, learning how to make Elderberry syrup, Kombucha and fermented cleaning product. These are all recipes and methods I will carry with me for life! On my free days I visited Karlovac, the big city nearby and hiked in the national park. Croatia has been an eye-opener. Such a rich, complex and beautiful country!!!
