We had a great time at the hostel. It's a really social spot and so it's easy to make friends as there are different events every night. The work we signed up for wasn't what we ended up doing, we signed up to paint murals but instead ended up doing reception. But It was easy and the people were nice, it was a good way to get to know everyone staying there! It is now a home from home for us and we can't wait to go back

I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! The team - Manza, Chenon, Michenne and Kumar were all lovely and the travellers I met there became friends for life. the hostel has a really great social atmosphere with lots of events happening and a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Great place to spend some time volunteering :)

I was in here for short time but already felt like part of family. It's a social hostel. Manager Manza created a great place. There was more volunteers. I like the bunk. It's clean and tidy always. Family dinners on Wednesday is just perfect. I will definitely ask them again to volunteer if I am coming to Sri Lanka back. Working time is flexible you can schedule with Manza. Lots of party place near by. So don't think twice just come experience this great place.

The hostel was the best hostel where I've stayed so far and I loved painting murals here. I could do the work anytime I wanted and I had plenty of free time to learn surfing, or hang out with friends. Our room was very comfortable (we had AC and hot water). the hostel was very chill, everybody was friendly and we had programs like volleyball, games, family dinner and parties every day!! Thank you Manza and Chenann for welcoming me here and the opportunity to create some artworks in the hostel. It was an unforgettable time and I would definitely come back here!!

C'è stato un piccolo malinteso con l'host all'inizio, che è stato gestito bene e l'host è stato flessibile e disponibile. Per motivi diversi ho finito per fare volontariato per sole 1,5 settimane invece di quattro. L'host è stato molto comprensivo al riguardo. In generale ho avuto una buona esperienza di volontariato e l'ostello per il surf è molto socievole con persone adorabili!!

Mi sono divertito molto nell'ostello di surf. L'ostello è abbastanza pulito. La cucina però non è buona e non è neanche completamente attrezzata. Non c'è modo di riscaldare il cibo, tranne che con un bollitore. Il frigorifero dello staff non funziona neanche. Le camere sono abbastanza pulite e ordinate, ma in generale l'ostello ha bisogno di un po' più di manutenzione. Ho lavorato molto di più di quanto descriveva il blog di worldpackers e, ad essere onesti, non molto. A un certo punto ho gestito i social media; eravamo su socialhost e in reception nello stesso momento, per un solo letto. L'host dovrebbe essere molto migliore nell'istruire il suo staff. Per me è stato incredibile grazie alle persone.

È stata una grande esperienza incontrare altri viaggiatori e artisti dei murales, e insieme abbiamo creato splendidi murales. La stanza in cui soggiornai non aveva una porta, solo tende, e a volte l'ospite e altri organizzavano feste proprio dietro la tenda, quindi non era comodo a volte. All'inizio abbiamo avuto alcuni problemi di comunicazione con l'ospite. Il surf non era gratuito e non c'era yoga. Quindi aspettatevi di pagare per tutte le attività e per il cibo quando andrete lì. E non c'era molta privacy nella stanza. A parte questo, è stato divertente fare un po' di arte e iniziare a imparare a fare surf. Se ti piace uscire a feste, ti piacerà!

My experience at the hostel began positively: welcoming vibe, light tasks (off-season), and plenty of time to explore. the hostel was clean, with a great social space to meet others. Unfortunately, I left earlier than planned due to an uncomfortable situation that, as a woman, made me feel uneasy. I believe every volunteer deserves a respectful and safe environment, and certain comments simply shouldn't happen in a professional setting. I appreciated that when I voiced my concerns, they were supportive and understanding of my decision.

Molti worldpackers si sono candidati a questa posizione recentemente. L'host probabilmente non sarà in grado di rispondere a tutte le candidature, quindi ti consigliamo di candidarti anche ad altri host nella nostra comunità e non solo a questo :)
