The once in a lifetime experience which has exceeded all my expectations. I had a whale of time teaching English, learning Spanish and socializing with the hosts as well as volunteers from all over the world. Thanks a lot)

We had a wonderful week in Huancayo. We stayed in the family house. During the week, we went to the school independently and arranged our schedule together with our assigned teachers (English - Julie - and PE - Patty and Vladimir). We ended up combining between the two classes, which meant we had full days, from 8am to 3:30pm, and had lunch at the school with the teachers (menu for 7 soles). The contact with the kids was amazing, the teachers really gave us an important role to talk to the kids, answer all their questions, which made them so happy! It was truly an enriching experience!

What a beautiful experience! The host family was always available and incredibly hospitable. Huancayo is a small city, which means it's safer and cheaper, but that also means there's not a ton to do. However, the program organizer kindly gave us some opportunities to immerse ourselves in the local culture. School was a lot of fun. You do teach in class, but you also get plenty of opportunities to meet other kids and staff during your breaks. Overall, everyone I met in Huancayo was friendly, and I had an incredible time.

Gaby, Caro, Rosa, Carlos, and Vero were so helpful and kind! They gave me tours and info about the city, amazing meals, and Spanish lessons. I taught English/music at 2 schools, a small elementary and a large high school. With the kids, i sang songs like “head shoulders knees and toes” with guitar, and sang Beatles songs with the teens! For Mother's Day, there are HUGE city-wide + school festivities! I watched the high schoolers perform traditional Andean dances with elaborate costumes and masks! I also made many friends in just two weeks, because everyone is so nice! Thanks again+miss u all!

This was my first time traveling outside of the U.S. and I immediately felt welcomed by Su & Vero as they hugged me when I arrived at the airport and offered to carry some of my items. Since my stay was short, they wanted me to have a fulfilling experience not just with the organization but with exploring the city to learn more about the culture and people, so they recommended different things for me to try. All in all, I am super grateful for my experience and all the people I have met especially the children, volunteers (Rosario & Lisa), CiCi, Carmen, Su & Vero💜 Thank you all for having me 🫶🏾

I had a wonderful experience in Mexico helping with the school. Veronica and Su were waiting for me at the airport with hugs and a smile. They made me part of the family. I felt like a v.i.p to them the whole time! The school director was lovely and the students were very happy to try "yoga for children" with me. I met generous volunteers of all ages from the u.s.a. and other countries. We had a blast visiting tourist attractions together. I feel so lucky to have this as my first worldpackers experience. I would definitely recommend it. I hope to return !

This was my first time traveling with a friend through Worldpackers and it was great! I was initially a little nervous but our hosts Vero and Su were accommodating and welcoming. Since we visited Puerto Vallarta during the holiday season, we were not able to work with the kids as we had originally expected but we were able to volunteer a little bit with the teachers. We got to visit a variety of places in Puerto Vallarta and learn more about Mexican and Peruvian culture through conversations with Vero and Su. They made us feel like part of their family in their beautiful home. Muchas gracias!

I had the most incredible time at the zoo in huancayo. Gabriela and her parents are so kind and I felt welcome from day 1. Working at the zoo was such a great experience and I learnt so much. All the staff were great and only one person could speak English so it really helped me to practice Spanish. The only perhaps downside I would say is that I only worked at the zoo until lunchtime. Afterwards I found there isn't much to do, but was perfect for me as I have exams when I get back so I could revise. There are some great tours available for the weekends though! I loved my time here :)

Wonderful experience! Poye has two locations - one in the organization and the other in Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to confirm the location they need assistance with and be ok to discuss the options that work best for you. I stayed two weeks at their location in Puerto Vallarta. I worked with the 3-5 year olds teaching them numbers, letters, and colors in English. Su and Verónica worked with me on my Spanish, healing rituals, and showed me the city and secrets of PV. I'd suggest any and all to come and support a great cause with wonderful people. I'd love to come again.

My heart is so full from this experience. Vero and Su are AMAZING! From the moment we met (and hugged) at the airport, I felt like family. I was greeted with hugs and it was just so easy to speak with them and be around them. The house , pets, and Lucy are so beautiful and it is so hard to leave them. The school and teachers are special and of course the little kids were loving and sweet. I am so grateful to have been able to share time with these people in this beautiful place. I only wish I could stay longer.
