Rimanere e fare volontariato è stato rilassante, divertente e familiare all'ostello. Si è sentita come una famiglia, e gli altri volontari sono stati così accoglienti. Agostina mi ha messo in condizioni di svolgere il mio lavoro e sono riuscito a sfruttare al massimo il mio tempo sull'isola, al mattino e alla sera. L'ostello ha buone docce, uno spazio cucina, attività e ospiti. Lo consiglierei a chiunque voglia sperimentare una autentica “vita sull'isola”!

Io e il mio partner abbiamo passato un ottimo momento qui, l'ostello sembrava una piccola famiglia e tutti erano super amichevoli e accoglienti. Consiglierei sicuramente di fare volontariato qui e tornerei sicuramente. Sono flessibili e la colazione gratuita è un vero vantaggio

I had incredible experience at the hostel on Holbox Island – it truly had everything I needed. The staff and volunteers were so welcoming, and it felt like being part of a big, happy family. Holbox is the perfect island to unwind and enjoy the serene beauty. Highly recommend!

Very grateful to have been able to be part of the hostel family, a very nice and welcoming environment. I learned a lot, both socially and personally. Delphie and Gaia, 2 very willing and kind people, I highly recommend this experience!

Overall I had a good time on the island. I liked the hostel,it was a nice place to be. The location is awesome(2 blocks from the beach!) and the people are nice. Working hours were respected. However, they were pretty critical and had high expectations, and there wasn't a lot of support. I didn't really feel welcomed.It's a tough job, as there are limited food options on the island(and you are cooking for 25-35ppl), so it took some time to figure out a meal plan and recipes. I got the impression that money and budget were a higher priority than guest experience, or the volunteers experience.

Tuttavia vorrei chiarire che prima di prenderti, abbiamo avuto una telefonata in cui ti ho spiegato nei dettagli cosa avresti fatto e per cosa saresti stata responsabile. Ti ho anche spiegato che avresti avuto una guida durante il volontariato, tuttavia avresti dovuto lavorare in autonomia. È stata anche spiegata la capacità dell’ostello e il numero medio di ospiti che arrivano per la colazione. A causa della tua precedente esperienza lavorativa in Starbucks, mi hai detto che potevi gestire persone in attesa del tuo ordine, ma non sei stata in grado di gestire tre persone in attesa senza sentirti sopraffatta. Ho sentito che mancava un po’ di onestà da parte tua. Abbiamo anche visto insieme le ricette della prima settimana e la preparazione dei pasti e, in seguito, è sempre la stessa cosa. Ti ho sempre chiesto se avevi bisogno di qualcosa e se ti sentivi a tuo agio. Come in ogni attività, dobbiamo seguire un budget per essere redditizi. Al contrario, teniamo molto ai nostri ospiti, per questo offriamo loro una colazione gratuita. Creiamo anche un ambiente familiare per ogni membro dello staff e dei volontari e organizziamo ritroviamo tutti insieme, come si può vedere dalle altre recensioni. Ci dispiace davvero che questa esperienza non abbia soddisfatto i tuoi criteri e la terremo sicuramente presente per il futuro. Ti auguriamo molte esperienze di volontariato felici. Cordiali saluti

I've had a blast volunteering at the hostel for 4 weeks. The hostel's a very accommodating host, providing a comfy tent and nice shared facilities. Working hours and tasks were exactly as agreed and I appreciated the open communication. I very much enjoyed making breakfast every day in such a relaxed, laid-back environment and can recommend everyone to come and stay in this tropical paradise!

The hostel feel like Home! It was my first volunteering, and was amazing, the hostel & staff was amazing, so thanks Nadja a Delphine for the opportunity. The Hostel is a two blocks of the beach, and you have all near! I would come back every time!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! Holbox island is a little paradise If you're in charge of activities, the job is pretty straightforward : you organise activities, and besides that you have to make sure the guest have a good time and gather them all together. You have to work autonomously so if you have any questions or you need help don't hesitate to ask. the hostel as really great vibes. It will make you feel part of a family. The staff and others volonteers are amazing people. You sleep in a tent, which means you have your own personal space, even if it can be hot sometimes

Volunteering at the hostel was a beautiful experience. I learned and grew so much while I was here. Holbox is an AMAZING island with everything you need. The work is simple and straight forward no matter what job you have. I will miss this place so much and I thank everyone that made this experience so special. If you have the chance to live in a tent on an island in Mexico, I 100% suggest you take it ❤️Gracias Gracias Gracias!
