This is an super Worldpackers experience. Sofie and Hendrik are so welcoming and genuinely want you to have an amazing time. The work hours are definetly respected and expectations are made very clear. The location is great for using the bikes, easy to get to beaches across the island and perfect for exploring. It's great for meeting and hanging out with other volunteers and you won't be hungry! I would definitely recommend this experience!

I recommend this experience; Sofie and Henrik are very kind, working hours are respected, and there is a lot of free time to explore the island (which offers lots of nature and a few beaches) and socialize with other volunteers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere; a lovely part of the day was the evening, when we cooked and ate together and we talked about so many things, like a big family.
The hostel is very beautiful and very well-maintained.

Sofie and Henrik were great hosts and are very kind and generous people. The work is always between the agreed hours and you can often finish early. Löttorp is a small town but there's plenty of things to do within cycling distance, when the bikes are available (they almost always are) just be aware that many places only take cash or swish. Overall I would definitely recommend this experience :)

The hostel & Hostel reflects Sophie'S passion and care in every way. From day one, despite my reserved nature, I felt welcomed as if I were part of the family, both by the owners and the other volunteers. The care Sophie puts into running the place — even in small, everyday gestures like going grocery shopping and having dinners all together — creates a warm, authentic, and inspiring atmosphere for anyone volunteering here.

Henrik and Sofie are 2 great people, they are kind and henrik was a backpacker himself, interesting talks after dinner became a routine, this place didnt failed to make me feel at home, ABOUT LOCATION this is a very interesting island I think I didnt see enough to talk about what to see but the property sits in a very good location you have to go to Kalmar to get there or if you are coming from Stockholm getting here is not a biggy. The local bus stop is literally a window view from the kitchen. There is only one supermarket which is a minute walk and the environment is also very cozy.

My experience was incredible; I found a second home in my stay!. The work was easy in general (breakfast and cleaning) and the working hours were respected. I loved that you can eat as much as you can for breakfast (I was happy eating all) and Sofie and Henrik prepare delicious traditional Swedish food for dinner; you can cook if you want to avoid cleaning. Also, Öland offers many activities to connect with the Swedish culture. You can find beaches everywhere and many bycicle routes in the north and center of the island (the hostel can give you a bike for free). tack så mycket för allt Sofie!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel! The working Hours were respected (breakfast or cleaning Shift). There is Plenty of time to Explore the surrounding nature (Beautiful beaches and forrests ) by bike. I loved biking through the Little swedish villages and swimming in the sea. I enjoyed the time with the other Volunteers so much! We cooked together and went to See the Sunset. I came in the beginning of the Season so there was a Lot of quiet time to realx and read in the Beautiful Garden! One of the best Experiences for me was spending midsommar the traditional way.

This was my first time volunteering in a Hotel/Hostel for me and I really liked it. The accommodation was always clean and comfortable. We had either breakfast or cleaning shift but never worked more than 25 hours/week. Löttorp is a cute little village with beautiful nature (beaches + forest!!) around. the hostel is a sweet place to stay and Sofie is always open for teaching you anything you wanna know about Hotelstuff. Thank you for everything!

My time at the hostel was very special. This was my first experience as a volunteer and it couldn't have been better! Sofie and Henrik are very attentive and thoughtful and I felt very welcomed! Work is easy and the worktime is very flexible so you can enjoy the beautiful island, which in April/ May is very calm and relaxing, with no turists yet. I could see the blooming of spring.
