The experience

We are an English family of four living in Correze in the beautiful Northern Dordogne Valley - Limousin region of France.
We are looking for help in our 6 hectare forest - sustainable woodland management and preparation of firewood. There will also be work in our garden and around our lake, as well as in the Potager (vegetable gardening) and some outdoor maintenance projects
This will suit someone who loves to be outside in the country


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Travelers arriving by boat in Drake Bay will need to pay for a taxi transfer to Finca Ganadito (around USD 30).

Intermediate English or Beginner French

Over 22 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

You will be helping out around 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
The tasks can be quite physically demanding.
Please bring appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting dirty - you will have access to a washing machine and we supply gloves and any protective clothing necessary.


Activities & Shift

You will be helping out around 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
We supply all meals, and toiletries etc that you need during your stay. We also pay for meals out and entrance fees when we take you on trips out


Rules

We cannot take Vegans - we have nothing against veganism , it's just to complicated to cater at this time
Please be respectful of our house and family - we will treat you as a member of our family and hope you will do the same
We prefer people to stay for at least 10 days
Personal Hygiene is important - if you do not agree, then this is not the place for you!
