Program Details

Openmind Projects is an award winning NGO, founded in 2001 with a base, Training Center in Northeast Thailand. Volunteers are a popular help at our projects in SE Asia.
We focus on English and computer/internet training, but also life skills and the environment. We also welcome volunteers who help us with website, video, social media, administration or maintenance work.
Our volunteers also go to other parts in SE Asia; villages, schools, temples, national parks. Some suit young, some suit families or more senior volunteers. Local conditions vary. Due to our local presence we also arrange for volunteers with special skills to volunteer in other projects such as national parks. We arrange Learning Camps at our Center and in the Thai Burma mountains.

What's going on at our Center
Located in NongKhai, Northeast Thailand, known as Isaan, on the border with Laos by the Mekong River, an hour from Vientiane, the Laos capital.
How to get there see www.openmindprojects.org/volunteer-travel-guides.
Welcome to our once monthly and free training days at our Center before you start! More info on our training at www.openmindprojects.org/volunteer-training. If you come on another date we give you a short introduction to Openmind Projects, local culture and language.

When you arrive our trainees will welcome you and show you around!
You can stay in one of the simple rooms at our Center. This is included in the donation we ask from volunteers and includes lunch and dinner during the week, see www.openmindprojects.org/what-you-get. If you prefer, we can help you find a nice guesthouse.
