This was my first work exchange, and it was an amazing time ! It is not for those who want to party-- you will be working and getting dirty. However, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun in the local area (despite being remote) and to connect with peers.
Instead, this place shines for it's passion, leadership and growth that it shares. This project is amazing and pictures will not do the building (or it's story!) justice. It has a lot of energy and the people organizing it are so passionate about this project. But even more, they are passionate about community, and lead with love.

I had a great experience at the organization! I learned many things, met lots of interesting people, and had a great time. The work is interesting and engaging and it is very enjoyable to watch everything get built up and see the progress in real time. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly, they make you feel comfortable right from the beginning. All in all I would highly recommend the organization to anyone.

Participating at the organization was a wonderful experience and I would strongly recommend. As an Architecture student I went there to learn the basics of Gothic stonemasonry and carving, walking away with that and so much more. Despite not being there for very long, I gained many strong friendships and experiences. The very welcoming team there helped me quickly feel a personal connection to the project, and I would strongly recommend this experience to others.

This was a fantastic first time experience of working abroad, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an interesting and unique summer experience! From day one, the team at the organization made me feel very welcome. Sam, Suzie, Jim and Donald were excellent people to be around and were very hospitable, as well as good fun to chat to in the down time. There was a wide variation of work, from general masonry and fixing to Banker work and small side quests, like gathering stone for future projects. This helped keep all aspects of the work interesting with a fine array of options.

Absolutely incredible experience at the organization! From the moment I arrived I felt extremely welcomed and cared for. Work can be physically demanding but hours are reasonable, staff are careful to make sure no one is overworked especially during hot weather, and seeing the results of your work is very rewarding. Such a unique place full of kind and interesting people, I wish I could have stayed longer!

An unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever! the organization team (thanks, Sam!) is outstanding—passionate, patient, and always eager to teach you traditional techniques. The project itself is fascinating; the work is physically demanding, but building a 13thcentury edifice from scratch is deeply rewarding. Connecting with fellow volunteers from around the world created a magical atmosphere and lifelong friendships. On top of that, having the weekends free is perfect for relaxing and going on incredible trips around the area to explore nearby villages and see some truly beautiful
