I had a wonderful time at the school. From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and appreciated. Hours and tasks were exactly like described on the Worldpackers. It's 8-12 Mo-Fr with a snack around 9:15 and lunch at 12. The food is amazing, fresh and balanced. The accommodation was also great since it is a 5min walk from the school and quite spacious with everything you need. It helps to speak Spanish since most of the teachers and other staff don't speak English. The only negative for me was that you have no proper schedule so you look for places you can help which made me feel lost sometimes.

Thanks to the entire the school team! I stayed here for three weeks, and it has been an amazing experience. I'll really miss spending time with the kids - they're all so cute and adorable! I'll especially miss the Squirrels and the Bears class. Thanks Sofia and Ximena for giving me the opportunity to be part of this experience. One small note about the accommodation: it can feel a little cramped with three active volunteers sharing the space. That said, it's clean, accessible, and located in a safe area of Modelia.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I don't regret it at all. I stayed for a month and a half and had a great time. Since the teachers and the kids only speak Spanish, it was the perfect opportunity to improve my language skills. The children are sweet, and even if the first few days feel a bit intimidating, you find your place eventually and become part of their routine. The schedule is flexible, so you have plenty of time to explore Bogotá, and the meals are delicious. The only downside is that the accommodation is a shared room with other volunteers, so there is no privacy.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The schedule is very comfortable, the food is great, the kids are amazing and Sofia is always checking up on the volunteers in case you need something.
Even if you don't have any experience teaching, the teachers will help you. There can be a few moments when they leave you alone with the kids but if you are patient and also know enough spanish to talk with them, I think is enough.
My only recommendation is to ask every doubt you have to Sofia, sometimes she's pretty bussy and cannot keep you updated with everything.

Thank you so much for this experience:)

The experience was really nice and enriching ! I improve my Spanish and the kids are so lovable. The classes with them are nice because you are free to do the language that you prefer and you can chose what you want to learn them. The neighborhood for the accommodation and the school is nice and safe. I would love to come back.
Thanks you for the welcome !

I loved my first volunteering experience in Modelia! The school was providing comfortable accommodation and delicious food. Teaching French and English was such an amazing experience that I was able to share my 2 roomies who were also taking part in the mission. As the classes were only in the morning, we were able to explore the city in the afternoons and the surroundings during the weekend! I would definitely recommend this mission if you want an immersive experience in Bogota and improve your Spanish!

I had an amazing experience here and didn't want to leave! You get a whole apartment to share with the other volunteers and the kids are so awesome at the school. The neighborhood is also great :)

I loved my experience at the school. The work is simple, the schedules are respected, and you have afternoons and weekends off, which allows you to explore Bogotá or travel further afield. The children are very cute and engaged, and the breakfast and lunch they provide are always delicious. You live in a fully equipped house located very close to the school in a very safe neighborhood, Sofía is always there to help you if you have any problems or questions. I highly recommend this enriching experience!🫶

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the school. The learning philosophy is truly child-centred and thoughtful, creating a very positive environment. The team was great to work with (kind, welcoming and supportive). I felt comfortable and included. Everything was well organised and planned which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The team even took the time to recommend me some lovely places to visit.

Was only able to stay for a short amount of time however with longer I think would have been more rewarding getting to know the children. Everyone was super loverly however with my limited Spanish was sometimes hard to know how to help. This being said Sofia was great at communicating. There were no other volunteers when I was there which in a big city made it a bit lonely and scary

Hi Coco thank you for your review!! so happy you enjoyed your stay, we wish you could have stayed longer! Sometimes there are slow periods where there’s only one to two volunteers but with the constant rotation we have new volunteers would have arrived soon! You are welcome again any time!! 💛
