C'était honnêtement la meilleure expérience de bénévolat que j'aie jamais vécue. Dès le début, Andrew, Anna et Liam m'ont fait sentir que je faisais partie de la famille. J'ai adoré passer du temps ensemble, surtout cuisiner et partager des repas. Le travail a été tellement amusant, et c'était incroyable de faire partie du projet et de le voir se développer. Je ne pourrais pas la recommander assez. ❤️

Andrew était un hôte merveilleux. Les heures et les tâches étaient bien définies; le travail n'était pas difficile, mais il était stimulant. J'ai beaucoup appris et j'ai apprécié mon temps. Je recommande à quiconque souhaite apprendre la rénovation de la maison de faire du bénévolat ici.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment à Newcastle avec Andrew. C'est un gars formidable et un superviseur très patient et soutenant, et nous nous sommes rapidement sentis comme faisant partie de la famille. Le travail était juste et flexible, la communication sur les tâches était claire, et nous avons vraiment apprécié la bonne nourriture (également végétarienne pour nous) et le logement chez l'hôte confortable. Andrew nous a aussi donné d'excellentes recommandations, et c'était toujours amusant de faire des quiz avec lui certains soirs. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut une expérience vraiment positive et nous recommanderions sans hésiter de rester chez lui.

J'ai absolument adoré cet endroit. Andrew, Anna et Liam ont été vraiment doux et accueillants. Si vous voulez un endroit avec beaucoup de liberté, c'est l'endroit. Andrew nous a laissé faire à peu près tout ce que nous voulions tant que nous travaillions les heures dont nous avions besoin. Vous pouviez changer les jours de travail autant que vous vouliez, ce qui permettait de profiter davantage des journées plus chaudes. Il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire à Newcastle, mais c'est quand même un endroit formidable pour y aller si vous aimez les banlieues tranquilles. Il y a beaucoup de plages dans les environs et plein de cafés sympas. Merci pour ce moment très agréable. Ce lieu va me manquer.

Diego and I spent almost two weeks at Andrew's house and it was a great experience. The working and resting hours were as agreed and the tasks varied, depending on the needs at each day. It was very nice spending time with him and his kids, cooking together, having dinner, playing games, getting warm by the fireplace, chatting and getting to know more about the Australian culture. We are very thankful for sharing these moments with them!

We stayed with Andrew & The Kids for 2 weeks and had our own room during this period. The tasks vary from day to day, depending on what is going on in the house, but most of our work was carrying materials, painting, gardening and organizing the place. We had most meals together, with a lot of good conversation, some Portuguese funny classes and games by the fireplace almost every night. It was a great opportunity to learn about construction projects and the Australian property industry. I recommend this experience if you want to work & like being into a family routine. Andrew is a fantastic host, I had an amazing time staying with him, Liam and Annaliese. They are very welcoming and great fun to be around. Andrew has a huge amount of experience in the construction and property industry, and is happy to pass on knowledge so it was great learning from him. He is very organised and takes pride in working efficiently which was impressive to see. On days off we visited local breweries, cafes, did the Newy Parkrun and Andrew kindly gave me use of a bike to explore Newcastle. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I would highly recommend this project to others!

My two-week stay was so much fun and a really fulfilling experience! I had such a great time cooking with his family, going for runs in the park, and learning a lot about carpentry. I was even put in charge of the roof, which gave me a solid foundation in construction—something I'm sure will be useful in my life ahead. Although my English isn't very strong, I really appreciated how patiently everyone guided me. Spending time with your family was truly wonderful, and I can't wait to see you again in Japan!

I want to say thanks to Andrew. I v got a good time at his hole in Newcastle. He is fun and welcoming and the house is very quite. The work was carpentry and I had not much experience but he was very patient with me.

I had a slightly different experience as advertised due to Andrew being away but nevertheless the experience was memorable. Andrew and his family are super lovely and the tasks I undertook were easy to learn but felt valuable. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants to learn tradie skills or just experience Newcastle!
