In poche settimane ho capito che era una grande amica per me. Lei rispetta le regole di Worldpackers; non ho mai lavorato più di quanto dovessi, le mie ore erano sempre ripetute.
Lei è anche molto aperta di mente e ha cercato di aiutarmi con tutto.
Nel tempo libero mi ha invitato, insieme a un altro volontario, a uscire al mercato e a fare attività ricreative.
Non ho davvero nulla di negativo da dire su di lei; nel complesso, la mia esperienza è stata fantastica.

If you want to disconnect from the city end immerse yourself on local life and amazing views, this is the place. Amboise is a place that ask you to discover it and encourages you to go and start a conversation with anyone. The tasks at the Hotel are easy to understand and the working hours were always respected. Erika is one of the warmest hosts i've had, she always has good conversation, receives you with a smile every morning and makes you feel welcomed during the whole stay. The hotel is beautiful and Erika's friend is pure fun. Thanks for everything, Erika! It was amazing :)

It was a nice experience because I had a beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodation exclusively for me. I had my own bedroom, own bathroom and own kitchen, it was marvelous; moreover, I always had the food that I wanted. On the other hand, I improved my skills in cleaning because I learned new things about housekeeping. Moreover, I painted a fence for the first time.

My experience with Erika was excellent. She is a very sweet person, and together with her husband Adrian, they gave me exceptional attention. When my next volunteering was canceled, Erika helped me a lot to solve the issue. The work in her hotel is simple; it involves maintaining cleanliness and paying close attention to details, as she aims to provide the best for her guests, and her hotel reflects that care. I had my own private space with a bathroom, room, and kitchen. Highly recommended!

During my stay with Erika , I experienced a significant adjustment due to the cold weather, as I come from the warm Mexican Caribbean. Despite expressing my discomfort, no uneasy. While the tasks were simple and the accommodation adequate, I observed certain aspects that conflicted with my personal values. This, more than an unexpected personal matter, led me to leave after a week. I value acting in alignment with my principles and chose to prioritize them above all else. Hours are somewhat respected: it's a lot of work and it's supposed to be done in 4 hours but is not possible sometimes. Those times you need to finish all the work even if it takes more than 4 hours. You get a room for yourself and 3 meals per day. Erika, the host, is nice for the most part but I went through some disturbing experiences that left me feeling really unsettled and uncomfortable, I didn't really feel as safe or welcomed :( Feel free to send me a message if you want to know more about this. Overall it was an ok experience at times, but sometimes also disappointing and scary.

Da quando sei arrivato in Francia, hai spesso espresso difficoltà ad adattarti e spesso ti sei lamentato dei francesi. Capisco che adattarsi a una nuova cultura possa essere impegnativo, ma è importante mantenere una mente aperta. Descrivere l'esperienza come “disturbante” sembra un po' duro; lavorare bene è solo una parte dell'esperienza, poiché anche le relazioni positive sono essenziali. Forse affrontare le differenze culturali con più comprensione e meno giudizio potrebbe portare a esperienze più positive in futuro.

Sono molto felice di essere arrivata a casa di Erika; fin dal primo giorno è stata molto gentile e disponibile con me. Si preoccupa di farti sentire a tuo agio e al sicuro. Con il passare dei giorni ci siamo conosciuti meglio e sono diventati amici che spero durino per sempre. Mi mancherà molto lasciare la sua casa e la sua bella famiglia. Le risate non sono mai mancate e ogni giorno c'erano nuove aneddoti da condividere. Molto grata e felice di poter incontrarli in questo viaggio in Francia ❤️🩹

Erika è una persona molto piacevole e gentile; ti invita a essere autonoma nelle attività quotidiane e ti spiega ogni lavoro con pazienza e dedizione. Sono grato per l'opportunità che ho avuto con lei, poiché ho imparato sulla cultura, sulle persone e sulle diverse attività che ho svolto. Il posto si trova in una zona tranquilla dove puoi ritrovarti con te stesso, molto consigliato.
