My first volunteering experience and everyone was very welcoming.
Would recommend to anybody who is thinking of coming to Serbia and experiencing farm life and helping out with the horses.

My experience was a bit bittersweet The place has incredible views and is located in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature We always had enough food, which I really appreciated However, communication was one of the main difficulties during my stay, there were several occasions when we didn't have water, although I understand that the problem was being repaired before the end of my stay My main recommendation is to make everything clear from the beginning, especially the daily tasks, working hours and days off

First, the place and the view is amazing! Our experience was a little bittersweet. Sometimes the organization and communication about the reservations and the team can be difficult, but everything was eventually solved. We always had enough food and everything we needed. Our main tasks was in the kitchen and the guest house, although there are other task too. You may also have the chance to ride horses and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The location was a bit isolated but you can still visit places or do hikes in the lodge. Most Importantly, you can have a great time

The place is amazing, with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. It is quiet and surrounded by nature. There is not much to do nearby, and the closest towns are about 40 minutes away by car, so I recommend going with a friend. The work is not difficult, but there are many tasks. We worked in the kitchen, cooking for more than 20 people, cleaning the guest house, and preparing the rooms. Sometimes we worked extra hours, so we counted them and changed them for days off. Communication was sometimes difficult. My advice is not to take things personally and always communicate well.

We’re two friends who came volunteer with the horses, help with trail rides and outdoor work. We’re grateful for the accommodation, food and experience. However, we left after 3 weeks instead of 4 due to several concerns. We felt trail rides were prioritised over the horses wellbeing with few proper days of and no training outside the trails. We were especially concerned about the farrier work. Some horses struggled to lift their hooves, and we witnessed nails driven into sensitive areas. We also found the paddock conditions and water access inadequate, and the horses had no salt.

Thank you very much for your feedback. However, given that you are only nineteen years old, you are certainly not yet in a position to objectively assess many of the things you have commented on, nor do you have the experience and knowledge necessary to fully understand them. You still have a long road of learning ahead of you.

As my entire team also commented, you come across as if you know everything and have knowledge about every subject.

We’re sharing the second part of our experience to help future volunteers know what to expect. We were asked to repair a fence around a 15-hectare overgrown paddock, which took four days and was more work than expected. Communication and organization were often difficult, and we sometimes received very little notice about new guests. We also felt uncomfortable with Marina’s behaviour towards us and especially towards the animals, including seeing her throw stones at cats. We discussed all our concerns, but nothing changed. If you want more info, get in touch with us and we can tell you more.

Advertised as an eco-farm adventure, this was instead a highly exhausting experience of being used as free, overworked labour (70+ hours each in 6 days). While the project leader has a great vision and works hard, the reality of this project is unacceptable. The facility is an unfinished, unhygienic hazard with an unsanitary kitchen, constantly leaking sink, garbage, no regular hot water. There is no oven, no dishwasher. Volunteers are treated like servants, expected to clean up after staff, tolerate smoking, and do intense manual labour outside the agreed role.

I instantly fell in love with the place. The other volunteers are like friends I reunited with after a while of absence. The work is hard and yet rewarding. The views are spectacular and the abundance of blackberries is second to none. I enjoyed the Qi Gong at the crack of dawn. There have been some communication issues, which we've managed to sort out, so I'm looking forward to the improvements to be made and I'd love to revisit this place next summer. All the best – grow and develop!

This was really an amazing experience, the work is definitely hard but this is normal for farm life. The team made the experience so fun and enjoyable and I had lots of chances to ride the horses
