Programa detallado
This program brings you into the heart of Kandangan Village, Lumajang, an ecovillage where community, culture, and nature come together. Here, volunteers are more than visitors, you will live alongside locals, exchange traditions, and take part in eco conservation efforts that protect waterfalls, animals, and community life. There are no formal office tasks or heavy responsibilities. Your main role is simply to live side by side with the community, interact in daily life, share stories, and build genuine cultural and language exchange. The goal is to grow awareness about sustainability, encourage mutual learning, and create an ecosystem that strengthens both education and the local economy.
What We Offer
• Simple yet comfortable homestay accommodation.
• A shared living experience where volunteers can buy local ingredients and cook together with the host family.
• Daily opportunities to connect with villagers and learn their traditions.
• Immersive experiences in cultural exchange and eco living.
• Outdoor escapes, from hidden waterfalls to scenic trails.
By joining, you are not just volunteering, you are helping shape a greener, more connected future.
Actividades & Turnos
You’ll stay in a family homestay, where hospitality and cultural immersion are part of everyday life. Volunteers will join a briefing and open discussion to align activities with personal interests, so your contribution feels meaningful and comfortable.
Free-to-use facilities include a shared kitchen and village spaces, perfect for workshops or cultural activities. In your free time, you can join local families, help with creative community projects, or head outdoors for adventure, whether it’s exploring waterfalls, hiking nearby trails, or visiting local farms to learn traditional practices like goat milking and dairy production.
What you’ll do
• Promote ecotourism practices with the local community.
• Support conservation of waterfalls, animals, and natural surroundings.
• Assist in developing sustainable tourism and outdoor activities.
• Contribute ideas for future eco-initiatives and cultural exchange programs.
Reglas
We encourage volunteers to stay respectful, open-minded, and authentic. Embrace the culture, share who you are, and enjoy the experience of living simply, naturally, and together.
