Wow the hostel… what a place! I had the best month there. The hostel's location in the heart of Edinburgh's beautiful Old Town is unbeatable, you really feel like you're in the centre of everything. The atmosphere is incredible, with events almost every night making it so easy to meet people and connect with volunteers and guests. The work is straightforward and well explained, and there's plenty of free time to enjoy the city and spend time with everyone. I honestly couldn't recommend this experience highly enough!

What was meant to be a one month volunteering experience turned into five months, which speaks volumes about the experience I had there. The required 14hours per week were always respected, making it easy to maintain a great work life balance. What made the experience truly special was the sense of community. The staff and volunteers became a second family, the friendships and memories I made are ones I will always cherish. I'm incredibly grateful and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. It's a wonderful place to be a part of and one that will always hold a special place in my heart.

L absolutely loved my time as a volunteer at the hostel! From my first day here I was welcomed into the family and by the end of my stay this place really felt like home. Everything is very well organized and you will get clear instructions on anything you have to do. You're only working 14 hours a week which gives you plenty of time to spend time with new friends and explore the city. There's also lots of fun events happening at the hostel every week that you are more than welcome to join. There's really nothing bad to say about this place, I highly recommend it!

The hostel, you have my heart! My time in this amazing place was nothing short of incredible. I got to connect with so many wonderful people, from other volunteers to backpackers just passing through. The facilities are fine, especially the common spaces, and the kitchen is an absolute dream if you're into cooking—it has literally everything you need to unleash your inner chef. Gabriela and Dale are super approachable and supportive, guiding you through the whole volunteering experience

I had a great experience at the hostel! The hours were respected and schedules were flexible. I had an amazing time getting to know everyone and going to events! The morning cleaning shifts are fast paced and there are 7 flights of stairs that you will be running up and down so make sure you're physically capable.

My time at the hostel was such a lovely experience. Both the staff and the volunteers are always super friendly, welcoming, and ready to help.✨ The facilities were really good, especially the kitchen, which had everything needed. Also, the hostel's location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh on foot and enjoying everything the city has to offer — it's truly an amazing city. I'm leaving with many great memories and after meeting wonderful people along the way. I definitely recommend living the HSH experience!💕

My experience at HSH was amazing and much more special than I expected. From the first days, I felt very welcomed by the staff and other volunteers, and the hostel quickly felt like a second home. The work was fair and organized, and I improved my English, met incredible people from all over the world, and created unforgettable memories, including random adventures and inside jokes I'll never forget hahaha. Edinburgh is also an amazing city full of life and beautiful places. I would definitely recommend this experience.

My volunteer experience at the hostel in Scotland was definitely one of the best I've ever had. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and valued by the HSH. It made the whole experience even more special. What made this experience so unique was the atmosphere. It genuinely felt like being part of a family. I loved every moment we shared, from working together to exploring the city and enjoying walks around Edinburgh. I'm really grateful for everything I experienced there. I would absolutely recommend the hostel.

My experience at the hostel was truly special. From the very beginning I felt welcomed and at ease, and little by little the hostel became much more than just a place to stay or work , it became a home. What I appreciated the most was the human side of this experience. Gabs, are an amazing woman, and your kindness, patience, and the way you treat people really made a difference for me. It's something I will always remember. I'm leaving Edinburgh with a full heart and so much gratitude. I honestly didn't expect to meet such incredible people or to feel so at home here, but i did!

My experience at the hostel will always be very special to me. It was my first volunteering experience, and from the very first day, it was absolutely amazing. My life felt like a movie! The people I met at the hostel were incredible! I made new friends and we had so much fun together. The work was enjoyable and flexible. The entire management team is very collaborative. You're also encouraged to come up with your own ideas, and they always try to give you the opportunity to bring them to life. I found a new home there, and I would 100% recommend this hostel to everyone!
