I spent five hours every day with the most energetic and funny kids, trying to practice English with them while explaining things in my broken Thai. Since it was the end of the school year, we mostly just chatted instead of doing actual lessons, but it was a great experience either way. The host and the other volunteers I met are all super nice, respectful, and really make you feel welcome. It is an experience worth trying!!

I had an amazing time at Yala! The town and local community are so welcoming and friendly. Working with the children was such a joy. Simple living alongside the other members. If you are looking for a local experience and are keen to get stuck in then I can highly recommend.
