Broadford Backpackers Hostel

We are a small backpackers hostel and a small B&B on the beautiful Isle of Skye in the village of Broadford.

We are located on the main bus route of the Island and are within walking distance of bars, shops, and a supermarket. There are many beautiful walks around the hostel.

We need a wee bit of help with cleaning, laundry, serving breakfast, in exchange for a free bed. As we can only offer a bed, we only ask for around 3 hours of work in the morning, 6 out of 7 days.

The minimum stay is 21 days. We offer free wifi, free tea, and coffee. And we can give you a lot of ideas and advice on what to do here and around this amazing island! ;)

We are a small, happy, and friendly team. Casual and open-minded, we will do our best to make you feel welcome! International team, Polish, Spanish and Romanian, we love Scotland and like working and spending time together at the hostel, at the B&B, or at the lodges. We enjoy sharing stories and having a good laugh. Feel free to send us a message and we can have a chat!

nice nature,horrible weather , managment as in concentration camp, they not respecting basic human rights and i been fired because i got disability ,my worst social experience in UK so far . Shame on them .

Broadford Backpackers was the perfect way for experiencing Skye for me. Anthony and Ellis are the perfect managers, they take care of the volunteers and they make a perfect job distribution. They helped us in everything! The hostel is super comfy with all types of facilities. I totally recommend to anyone this experience!

I loved my experience at Broadford. The Isle of Skye is an indescribable beauty.

The managers, a couple - Ellis and Anthony are super kind and flexible, took me to see beautiful places and even sharing the knowledge they have about the place, they make you feel at home all the time! super friendly!

The work is very smooth and easy. If you love nature and breathtaking landscapes, this is the place you really need to know, you can make several shorter walks near the hostel and also long walks that are exciting. Super recommend!

Fui voluntaria durante tres meses, Ellis y Anthony son la pareja encargada del hostel como de un Bed and Breakfast, los horarios son adecuados, las tareas son entretenidas para quienes les gusta la hotelería en general y Broadford es un pequeño pueblo, tranquilo, hermoso y con gente amable. La isla de Skye es preciosa y la cultura escocesa está en cada rincón. Lo interesante de este voluntariado fue la oportunidad de aportar desde mis habilidades y gustos. quedo muy agradecida de la experiencia y la acogida recibida.

Had the best time here. Management were awesome and the hostel itself made me feel right at home. Broadford is a small yet fun town with great pubs and a good supermarket. The mountains and the scenery are epic. I would recommend this to anyone.
