Heb Hostel

The Heb Hostel is a family run hostel in the heart of the Hebrides. If you like the outdoors, wildlife and remote areas as well as chatting to travellers from all over the world, this is the place for you.

We try to treat our staff well. We believe time off and privacy is very important and do not have more than 2 staff sharing! We don't get to socialise with staff as much as we would like as we have two young children but ocasionally get involved with staff meals, bbq's etc.

Heb Hostel was a wonderful experience. The hostel itself is a cool building to stay in. Christine and her family are lovely and incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was always given suggestions of things to do and any events happening in town. The hiking and scenery is amazing. You have plenty of beaches, hills, a few mountains and other spots within easy travel distance. I whole heartedly recommend volunteering here and hope to back again myself in future.

I couldn't reccommend enough volunteering at the Heb Hostel. Perfect place for someone looking to disconnect and go explore nature. Work was light and flexible. Christine and her family are great people and make you feel at home. I treasure all my memories I've had here <3

Mi experiencia en Heb Hostel ha sido muy buena. Tanto Christine como su familia, se han preocupado des del primer día por que nos sintámonos lo más cómodos posible. Se crea un ambiente muy familiar en el hostel. Da tiempo para visitar la isla que es preciosa. Gracias a Christine y a su familia para dejarme vivir esta experiencia y su hospitalidad <3.

My time at Heb Hostel was truly amazing! The hostel itself is very cozy and clean, the work is always fair and matches the description and my time was packed with great experiences. Christine and her whole family are just awesome. Always so kind, making sure that everybody is okay and feeling safe, happy and welcome. I'm very thankful for this experience and all the people I was able to meet! I would love to come back in the future and I can happily recommend this volunteer opportunity to everyone!
