The Shahi Palace Hotel is a beautiful palace in Jaisalmer with 16 rooms that are all uniquely decorated in traditional Haveli style. We have a fixed staff, but always can use an extra helping hand. We can use your creativity and talents for different purposes. Work varies from helping with reception work, cooking or a bit cleaning. In exchange we offer a free stay and 3 delicious Indian dishes a day. You will have good time to enjoy the amazing golden city, the fort or a camel safari when you have free time. If you want, you can learn Hindi , see the way of living in this part of the world and see our culture. We love to teach you cooking some dishes, showing our home and making a small party. Can you write or speak English? We would love to welcome you!
Namaste, My name is Devilal, I own different hotels in Jaisalmer and run camel and jeep safari's with local people in Thar desert . Some hotels are new and need some final touches in the interior and design. I would love to have some help with promoting these hotels and can use someone who can make websites. Staying with us means we treat you like our family, welcome to Rajastan!

La experiencia fue buena, tuve muco tiempo para mí ya que era temporada baja y no habia muchas tareas que hacer. El personal del hotel son muy amables. La comida y es lugar son increíbles. Conoci a la familia de Devilal y tanto el como su familia me hicieron sentir como en casa.
Recomiendo esta experiencia, pero mejor en la temporada de menos calor!

This was my first volunteering experience in worldpackers with Devilal. He is such a kind, friendly and fun loving person. He took care me a lot. I must say it's not only volunteering job I did lot of things during this period. I have travelled, met new people, enjoyed Rajasthani food , desert Safari and many more things. I felt like I booked trip as he gave me comfort zone to do the job.It was the off season so there was very less work to do. Rest of the time we used to travell and explore the city.I really appreciate for his time, kindness and company . I wish to be there again someday 😊

Mi experiencia en Jaisalmer ha sido genial y por supuesto inolvidable. Devi lal ha sido muy bueno conmigo y con los demás voluntarios, nos ha mostrado la belleza de Jaisalmer, la comida estaba espectacular. He tenido la oportunidad de conocer a su gran familia la cual me ha ayudado mucho, tanto como el, me he sentido como en casa, segura y feliz. El trabajo es sencillo y siempre tienes ayuda si la necesitas. Cabe destacar que el lugar era limpio, cómodo y muy bello. Sin lugar a duda volvería a vivir esta experiencia y la recomiendo a cualquiera.

It was my first Worldpackers experience. When I reached the host Mr. Devilal arrange a car to pick up me from station. He introduced me with locals and gave info about local sightseeing. He is a friendly person. I stayed here in off season so they have less work to do, although he and his staff are very kind, it feels like home. Here I painted some tables and chairs at their another hotel Heera Court (they have total four hotels in Jaisalmer).
We usually talks at nights with fellow tourist and local peoples on their rooftop. I stayed there for 16 days and it was great days of my life. Thanku

This was my first place where I arrived in India for my first time, and it couldn’t be better, I feel so safe, and Davilal and his family and staff was very funny and respected, I feel that it was my home.
I definitely recommend this place!!
The place and the food was amazing!!
Jaisalmer had an amazing vibe!
