IKRC Menorca, Centro Internacional de Retiro Kadampa

We offer the opportunity to join some of the meditation classes, or retreat sessions in the temple during their free time.
Working visitors can enjoy and experience the beautiful calm and silence surroundings of this UNESCO protected biosphere island and its amazing natural environment.

We are a small and quite community, the working visitors work in a quite independent way, so we look for responsible people who can work independently in an honest and commited way without requiring supervision. They become part of the commuity and can join the activities the centre offers to the public. Please, note that most of our activities are held in Spanish for the time being.

Solo tengo palabras de agradecimiento para con el centro!
Me sentí bienvenida y respetada en todo momento, las tareas son sencillas e incluso pude elegir tareas que prefería.
Recomendaría la experiencia a toda persona que le interese aprender sobre budismo y/o quiera una pausa de desconexión (o conexión 🧘🏼‍♀️) en un lugar precioso en medio de la montaña (tener en cuenta que sin algún vehículo es imposible moverse uno mismo, por lo que recomiendo alquilar para poder recorrer la
isla que tmb es bellísima
Sin dudas un lugar al que volvería.

People are so kind and open here. It is an amazing space that really encourages the learning ofBuddhism. I was able to have meaningful conversations with different people about Buddhism and came out with a better understanding and appreciation. Work hours are respected and you are well treated. Kindness and respect are founding principals. Even with my low level Spanish I was able to have a great time and make good connections.

I stayed with IKRC for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone in the community was very welcoming and helpful. The tasks were really okay (cooking, doing laundry and cleaning) and I was given a lot of trust, which I really appreciated.
I loved finding out more about buddhism and as a volunteer you can take part in almost all activities in the temple but you do not have to. It's up to you how much you want to get involved!
The surroundings are beautiful and you can explore the island very well from the location. However, you need a car to be mobile. THANK YOU!!
