Mellow Mountain Hostel

We are the one and only hostel in South Lake Tahoe and we are looking for some truly outstanding people to join our team. We're running a pretty large operation here (with around 65 bed capacity) and it is our hospitality, high standards of cleanliness and overall efficiency that have earned us our 4 and 5 star reviews for the entire 6 years that we've been open.

We are looking for outgoing, hardworking, friendly, smiley, happy, funny, articulate, computer-literate humans (or aliens) to join us. We want people who will take initiative to talk to a total stranger, ask someone how their day was, offer recommendations for fun things to do, see a need/fill a need and overall just have a willing and hardworking attitude. Competition is incredibly stiff for the limited volunteering spaces we have and we take only the very best of the best. We want to maintain our reputation as the fun, friendly hostel we are and our team is what makes that happen!

Volunteers help us with both cleaning and reception - duties will change based on the season. When we are busiest (winter and summer) we ask a bit more of all our volunteers, so please do not apply unless you know you've got what it takes!! What do we offer in return? The best working and living environment imaginable- we do lots of fun things together, you'll laugh more than you ever thought possible and you'll meet some of the coolest people ever. Basically: we reward the efforts you put in and no good deed goes unnoticed.
