We are a small non-profit organization staffed by international and local team members who rely on the dedicated help of volunteers to provide and maintain a safe, stable, loving and nurturing environment for the kids in our care. We believe it is in the best interest of our kids to put in place some guidelines for volunteers.

We ask that all volunteers be at least 21 years old at the time they arrive, and that they commit to a minimum of eight consecutive weeks. As previously mentioned, we require all volunteers to be at least 21 years old and to commit to at least eight consecutive weeks in our volunteer program. You will work with other international volunteers, as well as Misión México staff members, to provide a safe and happy environment for the children and youth in our care. If you are looking for a brief place to crash during an extended vacation in this region, or a party house to meet folks and hang out, please look elsewhere :) We create the staff & volunteer schedule weekly, and guarantee all volunteers two days off each week; we try our best to schedule these two days off in a row, but we cannot guarantee this. Shifts are typically from about 2pm (lunchtime) through bedtime (8:45pm) during the school year, and then includes earlier hours during summer holiday. We are looking for volunteers who can dedicate their time and effort in a proactive and consistent way, to show up for the kids at Misión México and help in their development. Misión Mexico provides volunteers with accommodation, laundry facilities, one meal a day (usually lunch eaten with the kids) and trips in the area, including to our beach house, Misión Surf, where we and the kids can enjoy the beach, swim and surf together. The volunteers' quarters are private for volunteers only (the kids are not permitted in the area), and you will be provided with a bed, bathroom, kitchen and outdoor space. We ask volunteers for a one-time 4,000pesos fee at the start of their stay, all of which covers their accommodation, food and utilities, and this fee remains the same whether you join us for 2 months or more.
