The west coast vibes are as real as they come in Santa Cruz, and our hostel is dedicated to showing you how our town gets down! Between the great outdoors, active night-life, and friendly faces all around, you'll be sure to find a memorable time here! Located throughout 5 beautiful historic cottages in the heart of Santa Cruz. Just 1 block away from Santa Cruz's boardwalk and wharf area, as well as world-famous surf spots, the location of this hostel just can't be beat!
The hostel has occupied the cottages for 30 years but the history of the cottages dates back to the 1800s. During your stay with us you'll cross paths with surfers, bikers, backpackers, and all other sorts of travelers.

Where do I start?! From the very beginning everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I was there for 5 weeks and I felt at home every single day. My first interaction was with Emma (the awesome receptionist), she welcomed me with a smile and showed me around. The work was fun and I learned so many things from Aurora regarding housekeeping. I met a lot of people from different countries and even made some friends outside the hostel as well. Tina and Sara, thank you for making me feel part of your family. I love you all ❤️
Don't hesitate to volunteer in this place!

Santa Cruz hostel was the best experience!
Everything there is amazing! Sara and Tina are people with a giant heart, they make you feel like family. Sara's entire family is beautiful and her mother is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Emma and aurora who also work at the hostel are amazing people. The hostel is beautiful and has the best location. It was very hard to say goodbye, every minute in that place was precious. I will treasure every memory. I just have to say thank you for everything.

My experience in Santa Cruz Hostel was really amazing!!! Everything was perfect, all the staff is very kind and I really felt like at home! They are also very professional and always take care of you, the work is easy and you have time to exploring the area too. The hostel is the most beautiful and cleanest hostel I've never been and guests are very kind too. I fall in love with Santa Cruz town and its surrondings , I really enjoyed everything! Totally recomended!!! Thank you again for give me this opportunity! I already miss you a lot!! ❤️

Excelente experiencia. Volvería mil veces. El lugar es hermoso, las personas que lo administran también. Conocí a Tina ,Tony, Sara y Aurora que se preocuparon en todo momento de que yo me sienta bien. Se cumplió con todo lo acordado con respecto a las tareas. Estoy muy agradecida y recomiendo este lugar por siempre.
