Wild & Wandering Group
We are a small collection of hostels & bars on the tropical island paradises of Koh Phangan, Thailand, and beyond. Famously casual and social, we are known for treating our guests like friends and all socializing and partying together! The volunteers we look for need to be responsible and dependable to handle basic hostel duties by day, but also social and fun partiers that will enjoy hanging out with guests and partying at night!
We are a very relaxed and casual bunch, operating in organized chaos. We are ALL here for the love of travel, backpacking, and living in paradise, no one's in it for the money here! I should warn, we have wicked and dirty senses of humor and communicate for work and fun via group chat that gets pretty wild, not for the faint of heart! We've been lucky to find guys and girls that can keep up with our craziness!

I stayed for 3,5 weeks, which was a bit too much for me. I’d recommend about 2-2,5 weeks :) I only had to work the days around full moon, so it’s super chill! Maybe not the cleanest hostel etc but depends on if that’s important to you. In the end I really enjoyed my stay and made really good friends!

Overall, my experience at the hostel through Worldpackers was mixed. While the pre-Full Moon Party downtime and free party tickets were perks, the staff's lack of respect and inconsistent workload distribution were disappointing. Minimal training led to stressful situations, with staff members yelling when mistakes were made. Improved staff training and fair workload allocation would improve the volunteer experience.

I really loved the experience. There is almost nothing to do besides promoting parties outside of the fullmoon. But for 5-6 days around the full moon party you do have to work. But it’s very fun and a great way to connect with the other volunteers. The restrooms and bathrooms could be cleaner but that’s all. Special thanks to Faha, Sao, Annie and Lauren. Sorry if I forget someone.

I Had amazing time with the volunteers!! Had free tickets for almost every parties and the work is easy, they dont really put pressure in you.
The room is kinda bad and hot haha
Sometimes the way leadership talked to staff made me feel uncomfortable, music is almost always on and so loud.

Was a great first travelling experience for me, I met so many people and made friends for life! It’s very quiet except for around the full moon party dates. The work is extremely fair and although working quite a bit during the full moon there is still loads of time to party. I’d definitely recommend arriving at least a couple of weeks before the full moon to get a chance to really explore the island and do everything you want to do in Koh phangan. As a solo traveller the hostel really forced me to come out of my shell, I will really miss being here.
