Foi a minha primeira experiência como voluntário, Bert e Maria me trataram super bem nos dias em que estive no hostel, o lugar é incrível e sempre recebendo pessoas de todas as partes do mundo. Bert é um pouco exigente mas sempre compreensivo eme auxiliou. Os horários não são muito bem estabelecidos, mas Bert foi bem flexível quando precisei.

Howsome place with an outstanding vew on samaipata ! Berth and his wife are really nice people, the volonteer room is a bit short but enough, berth provides vegetables, pasta and rize so all the necessary to share food between volunteers. I spent 3 weeks of fun and chill, for my last voluntering, i really chosed the right spot !

Mi experiencia en la the hostel fue hermosa! Bert y Maria Rene junto con sus niños muy cálidos y generosos. El hostel es bellísimo y tiene una super vista, y llega gente hermosa. Mejoré mi ingles, y la pasé muy bien. Las tareas son sencillas y siempre se puede charlar y acomodar los horarios ante cualquier eventualidas

Volunteering here was a great experience! The tasks were straightforward, either doing the breakfast or some small tasks like watering the plants and doing laundry in the afternoon. The garden is idyllic and perfect for relaxing. Bert was flexible and helpful:) thanks a lot for my stay!

Beautiful hostel and garden. However, volunteer "room" is just a storage room without windows, air and ventilation, making it quite unbearable. I enjoyed making breakfast with Maria-Rene (who is very lovely), however the rest of the duties were very unclear and communication with Bert proved challenging. There was also no agreement on days off; if you don't tell Bert you want a day off, he will assign tasks for you every single day, even though you are staying there for 3 weeks. Beautiful place, that needs quite a bit of improvement for it to be a better experience for any future volunteers

I had a great time at the hostel! Bert and his wife Maria are very lovely. The hostel is very nice with a homey feel in a beautiful area. The main task is preparing the breakfast, were you take turns with one other volunteer. Other then that the tasks are just helping around the hostel a bit, answering questions from guest and helping with check ins. In exchange you get free accommodation, breakfast and a shelf full of food to make some lunch and dinner. If you want to relax at a beautiful hostel, enjoy the town and go on hikes around Samaipata I would definitely recommend the hostel.

The Hostal the hostel is a place, which is built up whith heart and soul of Bert. The garden is rich in plants and the building is decorated with many pictures, is comfy and welcoming. The main tasks as a Volonteer are helping to prepare the breakfast in the morning, to check in new guests and help them, if they have questions. A regular schedule of shifts don't exist, so it is important to communicate with Bert. He is an open person, which communicates in a good way and always find a solution. His wife Maria-René practiced spanish with me, and their kids are very polite and friendly.

La voy a recordar como una de las mejores experiencia de mi vida. el hostal es una casa, Samaipata tiene una energía especial y esa energía se amplifica en hostal. El lugar, es perfecto para compartir espacio experiencias con los otros viajeros.. La noche se crea una energía especial. El dueño del hostal es muy amable, las tareas son muy sencillas, solo hace falta tener un poco de sentido comun y ganas de hacer que los huéspedes se sientan bien. Súper recomendable. Nino es un milagro, estuvimos super contentos y muy alegres con su compañía y su ayuda. Es una persona muy espontánea, tiene muchas cualidades excelentes. No dudas para abrir las puertas de tus casas para Nino, no te vas a repentir. Le recomendamos 200%!!

Had a great experience at the hostel. The place and it's view are magical, perfect for a bit of relaxation in between your travels whilst continuing to meet many other travelers on their way through. Samaipata itself is also great, a surprising amount of things to do given its small size.
