A experiência

The traveler will collaborate with the development and maintenance of our new webpage. We will discuss and agree on specific objectives and a timeline in advance. These objectives will be flexible and could change as the project advances.

The idea is to have a clear collaboration and help everybody plan their time and expectations better. Food is not initially offered in this position. However, it could change after agreeing on its terms.

We currently have a web page that was developed with Joomla (CMS). It is outdated and has not been very useful for the company. Therefore, we first need to decide if we maintain the initial page and just improve it and update it.

It is important to consider that other worldpacker has helped us to star a completely new website in Wix. It is in the first stage of development (mainly informational) but it is intended to be scalable up to e-commerce capabilities. The new collaborator could also focus on the development of this webpage.

The final option is to build an entirely new website, although necessary resources and having enough time to build it from scratch should be considered.

Atividades & Turnos

The approx number of hours for the collaboration is 30 hours/wk (based on past collaborations).

In the first days, the collaborator will focus on grasping a high-level understanding of the company, Ecuadorian textile market and our digital marketing strategy (under construction). The final timeline with the deliverables for the collaboration should be agreed upon in the beginning.

Once the timeline is placed it would provide the general guidelines for the rest of the project.

Finally, the collaborator should present a brief presentation of the project in format that she/he feels more comfortable. There are no strict guidelines regarding the extension of the presentation or its topics. Some recommendable topics could be:

-Resume of the collaboration
-Considerations for other worldpackers and for the continuity of their project by L&R employees.
-General Conclusions
-Recommendations

All the special requirements should be communicated as soon as possible to Javier or his designated assistant.
