The few problems were managed and solved pretty well together. The village and the accomodation are the project but you get in to it very quickly, no issues. The only problem that someone can find is the toilet. WiFi is not provided, you have to pay for the data but the network outside the house works good. Calculate also the money to bring for transportation. Staff and kids are kind and lovely. They will make you fell part of the family. The food is delicious. My work as a teacher at school was awesome and put me in a good mood everyday and leaves me with unforgettable memories.

About my experience with MACERUDET in Uguanda I can say that it was a wonderful experience, I loved it, I learned a lot and be able to help in everything you can. The people were very welcoming and kind and ended up becoming my family. They took care of me and made sure I had the best experience possible.

I will start by saying the children and some of the staff are wonderful. I wished everyday that I could find a way to stay longer and engage with the children. However, the host needs more time and additional funding in order to host this experience effectively. The living quarters wasn't up to living standards and the location was actually too far from the city. I tried to Uber back and forth but it was too many hours to do so. I expected the host to provide me with basic resources but instead I had to pay for Ubers, bodas, and housing. It no longer felt like I was volunteering unfortunatel

The Beautiful land of the community ! Getting to this land full of Banana/Matoke has been a dream come true. I can't denie how warm welcoming the locals are. They embraced me as their own. I even wished to have extended my stay for more than a week. But all together, I have gotten the best stay. Food is never an issue. I have enjoyed locally made dishes at no cost. Initially I had a challenge with my line/Safaricom that couldn't make a call or text to my homeland but communication was made easy. Thanks so much Mr. Mulindwa for the data bundles support too. Mr. Mulindwa has been the best host.

Overall, our stay was amazing! We met amazing women who taught us a lot about every prospect of their business and we felt like a part of their group:) We were there during corona so the school was not open and we could not experience the teaching, but we still helped with cleaning the classrooms. Mulindwa is a warm and kind person. The only thing that was not as good as expected was the acommodation, which was still under construction process so it will probably be better in soon time... Anyways we would recommend this program, you'll have a great time!

Our community enjoyed the stay of Madam Viki and Madam Laura.Both of them were very eager to learn new things from us.Secondly,they participated in cleaning our furniture at Mmanze Primary School that has been not functioning for more than 22 months because of the covid 19 pandemic.In that respect ,we have learnt and shared information,ideas,knowledge,skills,experience,expertise with the two.we therefore wish them the very best wherever they will be and very much willing to host them in the future should the situation improve.God bless you all.
