Aloha! Here at Sun Farm we are a big ohana! We are looking for a person to help us maintain our glamping sites and with our farm. You can expect to divide your time with housekeeping and farming. We expecting someone with high experience in housekeeping/cleaning. We are looking for someone hospitable, friendly, & very oriented towards tidiness and organization! Mahalo

We are a family/community environment here, so expect that you will build relationships with the work staff and potentially renters and guests that also stay on the property! We provide basic plant based groceries (about 70% of your diet) from Costco, ranging from rice, bread, beans, some veggies, seasoning, milk, eggs, coffee and some snacks (i.e. peanut butter). We expect you to provide any extra items that you need for yourself. Helpers are also able to take some produce from the land when available. Volunteers stay in a camping tent on the property we offer a full tent kit for a one time fee of $50! Our schedule is 5 hours a day 5 days week. These 5 days may include weekends but you will always only work 25 hours per week. We are also often having events on the land that involve kids and schools as well as other more spiritual-based events. We are so excited to have you!

Atividades & Turnos

Volunteers are expected to help 5 days a week for a total of 25 hours. How this looks will vary person to person, but you can expect a shift that may look like 7am-12pm for 5 days each week (depends on the season)! Much of the glamping site help will be laundry of bed linens, sweeping and mopping the floors, adding little details of hospitality, deep cleaning and organizing the yurts for the guest, greeting guests, and cleaning the guest kitchen and bathrooms. On the land, you will be expected to water the plants, weed, mulch, harvest, plant, organize, deep clean, & care for our animals, to name a few of the tasks we do on the farm.

Regras

One week prior to arrival we send a document with guidelines for expectations during your stay! We have a document with community guidelines we will share upon approval. Some guidelines include quiet hours 10pm to 6 am, cleaning up dishes in kitchen after use, respecting shared spaces, etc.
