My time at Arrifana has been super chill and relaxed. I had lots of free time to enjoy the nature, share time with the lovely volunteers and guests and make lots of unforgettable memories! The working hours and tasks were easy and fair, specially now in low season. The staff has been always super caring and attentive, providing us everything we needed. I would totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a beach and surf lifestyle :)

I've stayed at the hostel for three weeks (i had to leave earlyer and the host was totally understandable about that). the other staff members are amazing and it feels like a family. the hostel is 10 min from the beach. what you need to think about before applying: it is relatively secluded. you can't just go (grocery) shopping, if you want to, take the bus (~4x a day) or hitchhike. same with going out. there are a few weekly events, but plan at least 30 min walking. our first accommodation wasn't good but after we asked, we got another room. other than this, this host is amazing in season

From the moment I arrived the people there made me fell so welcome and existed about being a part of the team. The work you are asked to do is easy and varies so it doesn't get boring :). It's also super fun to work together with the other volunteers and staff. The hostel is in a small town, close to the beach. There are also events every evening in town you can go to. I definitely had a great time meeting new people and learning new things. Definitely would recommend volunteering there!

If you are lucky enough to get offered a spot here take it immediately. I cannot emphasize how amazing an atmosphere the hostel/ town is. It is relatively isolated and is a small town community. Within the hostel you will make tons of friends both who work there, live in Arrifana and others who are just passing through. There are events somewhere almost every night, surfing and sun everyday and you won't get bogged down by tedious workloads. In fact, working with the other volunteers and employees makes the light load fly past with a smile on your face and big reggae tunes in the background :)

I would 100% recommend this place, everyone is just so kind and they really make you feel welcome and at home. The hostel is in the perfect spot, just 5 minutes away from the beach. Also, the tasks are pretty easy and they always try to accomodate you if you need something. I will miss this place so much, thank you for the best month!
