Honestamente, foi a melhor experiência de voluntariado que já tive. Desde o começo, Andrew, Anna e Liam me fizeram sentir parte da família. Adorei passar tempo juntos, principalmente cozinhar e compartilhar refeições. O trabalho foi tão divertido, e foi incrível fazer parte do projeto e vê-lo se desenvolver. Já senti saudades deles depois de apenas um dia de partida e sempre vou lembrar desta experiência. Não poderia recomendá-la o suficiente. ❤️

Passamos um tempo realmente bom em Newcastle com Andrew. Ele é uma pessoa ótima e um supervisor muito paciente e solidário, e rapidamente nos sentimos como parte da família. O trabalho foi justo e flexível, a comunicação sobre as tarefas foi clara, e realmente apreciamos a boa comida (também vegetariana para nós) e a acomodação confortável na casa de uma família anfitriã. Andrew também nos deu ótimas recomendações, e sempre foi divertido fazer quizzes com ele algumas noites. No geral, foi uma experiência realmente positiva e definitivamente recomendaríamos ficar com ele.

Eu amei este lugar. Andrew, Anna e Liam foram muito simpáticos e acolhedores. Se você quer um lugar com muita liberdade, este é o lugar. Andrew nos deixou fazer praticamente o que quiséssemos, contanto que trabalhassemos as horas de que precisávamos. Você poderia mudar os dias de trabalho o quanto quisesse, o que tornava possível aproveitar mais os dias mais quentes. Não há muito o que fazer em Newcastle, mas ainda assim é um ótimo lugar para ir, se você quiser os subúrbios tranquilos. Há muitas praias na região e um monte de cafés legais. Obrigado por este tempo tão agradável. Vou sentir falta deste lugar.

Diego and I spent almost two weeks at Andrew's house and it was a great experience. The working and resting hours were as agreed and the tasks varied, depending on the needs at each day. It was very nice spending time with him and his kids, cooking together, having dinner, playing games, getting warm by the fireplace, chatting and getting to know more about the Australian culture. We are very thankful for sharing these moments with them!

We stayed with Andrew & The Kids for 2 weeks and had our own room during this period. The tasks vary from day to day, depending on what is going on in the house, but most of our work was carrying materials, painting, gardening and organizing the place. We had most meals together, with a lot of good conversation, some Portuguese funny classes and games by the fireplace almost every night. It was a great opportunity to learn about construction projects and the Australian property industry. I recommend this experience if you want to work & like being into a family routine. Andrew is a fantastic host, I had an amazing time staying with him, Liam and Annaliese. They are very welcoming and great fun to be around. Andrew has a huge amount of experience in the construction and property industry, and is happy to pass on knowledge so it was great learning from him. He is very organised and takes pride in working efficiently which was impressive to see. On days off we visited local breweries, cafes, did the Newy Parkrun and Andrew kindly gave me use of a bike to explore Newcastle. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I would highly recommend this project to others!

My two-week stay was so much fun and a really fulfilling experience! I had such a great time cooking with his family, going for runs in the park, and learning a lot about carpentry. I was even put in charge of the roof, which gave me a solid foundation in construction—something I'm sure will be useful in my life ahead. Although my English isn't very strong, I really appreciated how patiently everyone guided me. Spending time with your family was truly wonderful, and I can't wait to see you again in Japan!

I want to say thanks to Andrew. I v got a good time at his hole in Newcastle. He is fun and welcoming and the house is very quite. The work was carpentry and I had not much experience but he was very patient with me.
