Eu realmente amei minha primeira experiência de voluntariado! Criei uma grande afeição pelo Enzo, e toda a família dele foi incrivelmente gentil e acolhedora. A família sempre se certificava de que tivéssemos comida deliciosa, e a casa deles é absolutamente linda. Estou muito grato ao lar e à família dela por me receberem e me proporcionarem uma experiência tão maravilhosa. Minhas responsabilidades não eram muito difíceis, e eu tinha bastante tempo livre após o meu expediente para explorar a ilha. Frequentemente eu ia para Kalyves e Chania, e tive a chance de descobrir tantos lugares bonitos ao redor de Creta.

O trabalho foi muito divertido, pois pudemos decidir qual parte da ilha queríamos explorar com Enzo - embora eu tenha subestimado definitivamente as temperaturas em Creta em julho, o que também tornou exaustivo às vezes. Caminhamos muito, mas também nos acostumamos com isso muito rápido.
Também me dei muito bem com toda a família e soube que, para qualquer problema que surgisse durante minha estadia, a família encontraria uma solução comigo.
Eu recomendaria a experiência a qualquer pessoa que esteja disposta a fazer parte da família e explorar Creta ativamente !! :)

Minha experiência foi um pouco diferente do que eu esperava. Cuidar do menino foi uma experiência interessante e valiosa, e eu aproveitei a oportunidade de passar tempo com ele. No entanto, pessoalmente achei que morar com a família às vezes era desafiador devido às expectativas específicas em relação à limpeza e às rotinas diárias. Acredito que essa experiência depende muito das preferências pessoais, e o que não funcionou para mim pode funcionar bem para alguém. No geral, foi uma experiência de aprendizado, embora eu nem sempre tenha me sentido completamente à vontade.

Aprendi muito com Enzo, e graças a ele eu vi o mundo de uma forma diferente. Passar tempo com ele me ensinou paciência, compreensão e como desacelerar. Ele me mostrou a importância de manter a calma, de estar presente e de não levar tudo tão a sério. Eu realmente aproveitei meu tempo com ele, e a experiência significou muito para mim.

This experience was truly one of a kind and I am more than happy that I did it. The family accepted me immediately and I felt like I am part of them. Work with Enzo was sometimes challenging, but that is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to learn more about autism and I really did! I love the home's approach to work with autism and I am really amazed how the whole family is involved with Enzo. Remember: you will never be alone, everyone is glad to help. The whole experience gave me a lot and I am leaving with a full heart and a warm feeling. I can't wait to come back soon!

Thank you to the home, Enzo and the family for making my first Worldpackers experience such wonderful and unique adventure! My shifts were fair and I was not only Enzo's Carer but I became his friend. Spending time with him taught me so much about Autism and even more about the world around us. He is such a beautiful soul who I already miss! The family always knew how to make me laugh and treated me like one of their own. I recommend this experience to anyone who is open to learning about disabilities and wanting to form genuine human connections that will last a long time!

I had such a incredible experience in Crete, the island is gorgeous. Enzo is the sweetest person ever, he was one of my favourite parts of the experience, I learnt a lot and we had fun together. Their house is beautiful and comfortable, the family is really cool and made me feel welcomed. I also picked up with some basic French with them! The location is in a small village close to Kalyves, surrounded by the nature, so you can disconnect and reconect. If you are an active person the work time and moving around the island will be easy, otherwise some time to adapt may be needed.

It was a very nice experience to work with Enzo and his family, Enzo is so sweet and fun, all of them are very friendly and kind, at the beginning I was a little nervous because I didn't knew a lot about autism or how to deal with it, but this experience made me learn a lot. Cècile, Charlotte and all the family are very open to explain if you have question, I think it is a good experience if you like sports and want to learn more about autism, this experience opens your mind and adds up a lot to your life

I had such a great stay in Kalives. Enzo was such a kind and loving person to be around, and we had great fun exploring Crete! The environment was comfortable and I felt really welcomed in the family🥰 The family was so understanding and helpful, and I really hope to reconnect some time in the near future🥰
