A experiência

Help our family and neighborhood reduce fire hazards by firescaping, ecoforestry, permaculture, and conversion of carbon into wool products. You will participate with us is regular life, including light household tasks, cooking and cleaning, as well as organizing, land cleanup, and weedwhacking.

Eco forestry includes light chainsaw work, hauling brush, tending burn piles, digging contour swales and planting native grasses. Meet our community!

The tasks involves any of the following: land clean-up, organizing, garden work, cutting hazardous brush, limbing trees, making and tending burn piles and biochar units, processing wool, spinning and weaving if you'd like, and general help around the house as part of our family.

Atividades & Turnos

Slip into the daily rhythm of our home life: make your own breakfast at leisure, begin work between 9 am and 10 am to your preference. Work is project-based. I will show you what you need to know and give you autonomy to get the job done in a reasonable manner. I will always be on hand to answer questions. Some tasks require more supervision than others. If we are working together, we'll plan who among us will prepare meals for lunch and dinner. Most days a total of four to five hours of work will suffice; some days may involve longer hours and be followed by a couple of days of rest. All is negotiable.

Regras

Personal integrity and hygiene, clear communication and courtesy are a must. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and respect for all living creatures. We have three cats, so no dogs allowed. Families with children are welcome, but must be interviewed to assess your needs.
