We had a great time at the hostel. It's a really social spot and so it's easy to make friends as there are different events every night. The work we signed up for wasn't what we ended up doing, we signed up to paint murals but instead ended up doing reception. But It was easy and the people were nice, it was a good way to get to know everyone staying there! It is now a home from home for us and we can't wait to go back

I had an awesome time volunteering at the hostel! The team - Manza, Chenon, Michenne and Kumar were all lovely and the travellers I met there became friends for life. the hostel has a really great social atmosphere with lots of events happening and a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Great place to spend some time volunteering :)

I was in here for short time but already felt like part of family. It's a social hostel. Manager Manza created a great place. There was more volunteers. I like the bunk. It's clean and tidy always. Family dinners on Wednesday is just perfect. I will definitely ask them again to volunteer if I am coming to Sri Lanka back. Working time is flexible you can schedule with Manza. Lots of party place near by. So don't think twice just come experience this great place.

The hostel was the best hostel where I've stayed so far and I loved painting murals here. I could do the work anytime I wanted and I had plenty of free time to learn surfing, or hang out with friends. Our room was very comfortable (we had AC and hot water). the hostel was very chill, everybody was friendly and we had programs like volleyball, games, family dinner and parties every day!! Thank you Manza and Chenann for welcoming me here and the opportunity to create some artworks in the hostel. It was an unforgettable time and I would definitely come back here!!

Houve um pequeno mal-entendido com o anfitrião no começo, que foi bem resolvido e o anfitrião foi flexível e acolhedor. Por outras razões, acabei fazendo voluntariado por apenas 1,5 semanas em vez de quatro. O anfitrião entendeu muito bem isso. No geral, tive uma boa experiência de voluntariado e o hostel é muito sociável com pessoas encantadoras!!

Tive um ótimo tempo no albergue de surfe. O albergue está relativamente limpo. A cozinha não é boa, e também não está totalmente equipada. Não há como aquecer comida, exceto com uma chaleira. O refrigerador da equipe também não funciona. Os quartos são bastante limpos e arrumados, mas, em geral, o albergue precisa de um pouco mais de manutenção. Eu trabalhei muito mais do que o blog da worldpackers descreveu e, para ser honesto, não muito. Em certo momento, fiz redes sociais; estávamos em socialhost e na recepção ao mesmo tempo, apenas por uma cama. O anfitrião precisa ser muito melhor em ensinar sua equipe. Para mim, foi incrível graças às pessoas.

Foi uma ótima experiência conhecer outros viajantes e artistas de murais, e criamos alguns murais incríveis juntos. O quarto em que fiquei não tinha porta, apenas cortinas, e às vezes o anfitrião e outras pessoas faziam festas bem atrás da cortina, então nem sempre era confortável. Tivemos alguns problemas de comunicação com o anfitrião no começo. O surfe não era de graça e não havia yoga. Então espere pagar por todas as atividades e pela comida quando for lá. E não havia muita privacidade no quarto. Fora disso, foi divertido fazer um pouco de arte e começar a aprender a surfar. Se você gosta de sair para festas, vai adorar!

My experience at the hostel began positively: welcoming vibe, light tasks (off-season), and plenty of time to explore. the hostel was clean, with a great social space to meet others. Unfortunately, I left earlier than planned due to an uncomfortable situation that, as a woman, made me feel uneasy. I believe every volunteer deserves a respectful and safe environment, and certain comments simply shouldn't happen in a professional setting. I appreciated that when I voiced my concerns, they were supportive and understanding of my decision.
