Carol was at our hotel, and we could count on her help. Very attentive and eager to take on all tasks, she speaks several languages, which was very useful when communicating with the guests. We hope to count on her help again in the future.

Muchas gracias chicos! 🫂✨🤍🌴

Carol, an excellent person. We felt comfortable with her stay here. She was a great help in the various areas of the hotel: cleaning, kitchen, and customer service at the rest bar. Her volunteering days were very productive. I would recommend her 100%. A good person, very cordial, attentive and always eager to help at any moment.

Education

My studies were in accounting. Over time I dedicated myself to alternative therapies such as foot reflexology, massage therapy, reiki, aromatherapy, harmonization and cleansing of energies from spaces and people. Advanced English. I learned Portuguese in Brazil, at an advanced level.

Work experience

In my hometown I have always worked in administrative, accounting, financial, and customer service roles.

Travel experience

At the end of 2016 I arrived in Brazil, straight to Florianópolis, then I went to Rio de Janeiro; I stayed in Copacabana for 3 months, discovering fantastic places. Continuing my journey I jumped to Salvador de Bahia, where I had my first volunteer experience at a hostel, and after several long months I decided to stay and became a registered employee. I lived there for 1 year and 4 months. It was very intense and renewing to choose to live all that time surrounded by root culture, beautiful traditional customs, magical landscapes; I realized that Salvador chose me to stay, just as I did, marking a before and after in my journey. I took a break in August 2018 to visit family, then resume the path. Thus, in October of the same year, I returned to Brazil to the state of Pernambuco, Recife, to stay one month in a Hostel-Bar. A different and very renewing experience, a city but with nearby paradises to relax. I continued to the next destination, Paraíba, João Pessoa. I arrived at midnight but already felt that place would be incredible; it was a month closer to nature, the hostel had a magical courtyard and we were 10 steps from the beach. After completing the month I embraced that beautiful experience and continued to Pipa, Rio Grande do Norte. Carioca Hostel awaited me on a Friday night to start the weekend in a paradisiacal place with a very loving atmosphere; those were the best months I spent, even in peak season the reception work was very calm and dynamic. Always meeting people from all over and making friendships for life. I arranged myself in such a way that I decided to stay a while there and, on my own, focus on personal growth; that led me to spend the pandemic era in the same place, every moment was for personal, human and professional growth. After 2 years, I am back on my path in search of new landscapes and places to share my experiences. Within Brazil, I returned to Bahia but to the city of Lençóis, in Chapada Diamantina National Park, one of the largest parks in the country. After my volunteer time at a lodge in the middle of the jungle, I took a direct bus to another state, Goiás, where Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park is located. After several volunteering experiences in tents, or small houses in the mountains, falling in love with the place, I decided to visit the country’s capital, Brasília. There is only one volunteering option in the city, a very well located hostel, in which I later had the opportunity to work in a registered capacity. I spent a few months there, until I decided to get to know a little more the south of Brazil. I could see a bit of Serra Gaúcha in Porto Alegre and then decided to visit family for a few months and resolve personal matters. I resumed the journey in Praia do Rosa, in Santa Catarina; from my city to there I had a direct bus. I set out to work the season in that place and do volunteering at the same time to save money and keep traveling. Those months things turned out differently from how I had thought; I reprogrammed a bit what I would do next. Facing challenges I never imagined, I confirm once again that everything is as it has to be at the exact moment and place. Leaving Brazil by bus, I passed through Paraguay, Asunción for about 5 days where I met people from several countries and today is exactly 5 days since I’ve been traveling through Bolivia, entering Santa Cruz de la Sierra, passing through La Paz and now in Copacabana. Sketching an economical and beautiful route to the next destinations.
