Night Shift, Cleaning, Housekeeping, and Reception
Happy person with a smile on her face, very proactive and always willing to help. Whoever is lucky enough to welcome her will have the privilege of receiving a competent and dedicated person to handle the tasks. Thank you for choosing our family, have a good journey and come back soon!!!
Cleaning, Social Work, Building & Repairing, and Gardening
Gratidão a todxs.
Building & Repairing, Gardening, Cleaning, and Social Work
Débora is a very calm, polite person and performed her duties very well. During her time at the hostel, she started the garden, painted decorative signs (reduce, recycle, reuse), painted the rubbish bins, took care of the compost bin, weighed the organic waste, spoke to and educated staff and guests, in addition to carrying out an amazing beach cleanup. The experience was extremely positive and all members of Cadê Teresa were satisfied with Ecopacker's arrival.

This course is designed to help volunteers prepare for Worldpackers' experiences, including creating a complete traveler profile and sending great applications, sharing feedback with hosts, and other best practices for successful exchanges and your project's growth!
Débora is a really great person; I met her during a Beach Clean Up volunteer event. She stood out for her commitment to picking up waste on the beach. She has participated in other events as well, and just from that you can tell that her environmental awareness and waste disposal mindset are genuine. She is a calm, sociable, good-natured person with an incredible wealth of knowledge about travel, tips, and insights gained from other volunteers. Highly recommended!

I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Federal University of São Paulo (2016–2019). At the university I was part of an extension project called Sustentabilidatico, which aimed to help with student retention and environmental preservation. I worked as an intern and later as a volunteer, and my duties included: compiling and maintaining the database of available materials, creating posters to publicize the project on social media and on campus, organizing photocopies, and helping the students.
I worked at the university in Unifesp's Institutional Planning department, performing administrative tasks and publicizing events. I also worked as an office clerk at a company that sells handmade crafts.
I have been traveling across South America for over a year volunteering. I have done several volunteering stints in hostels in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia; I worked at reception where I welcomed people from all over the world and was able to develop my Spanish and English. I also did cleaning and hostel organization tasks. I volunteered with two NGOs in Brazil where I worked with children, a community garden, recycling, and arts. Before starting my backpacking journey, I participated in a university extension project called Realidad Latinoamericana in which I studied two countries during the year, and in the end I traveled to the countries where we conducted field research. During the year I participated, we went to Uruguay and Paraguay, in addition to the tourist experience; through the talks I attended with social organizations, teachers, and local students, I was also able to gain a deeper understanding of the political, economic, and social realities of the countries. The experiences we had on the trip gave rise to a joint book with the project's participants titled Uruguay and Paraguay: Frontiers of Dependence.
