Travel experience

After high school I moved to New York by myself and lived there for a year. Where I went to school and worked. While living in New York I had the change to travel the west and east coast, the south states of the US and Hawaii.
I have also lived and worked in Doha, Qatar and Sydney, Australia. I have traveled through Europe. Recently I made a trip to India, Nepal, Philipines and Japan.

Living on the road have taught me more than could have ever imagined. Experiences that I most probably wouldn’t have learned from the inside of an auditorium. Experiences that occured when I was by yourself, in foregin surroundings with forgien people and maybe even a foreign language. I've been standing in front of a challenges that seemed impossible to overcome. And by overcoming them I found out that I was capable of so much more than I thought I was. There is always a way even when it seems like there isn't one. I did not only go on a physical journey I also went on an inner journey becoming more and more myself.

The space I created became my classroom in a lot of ways. I was not only taught about life lessons but also about countries economy, human psychology, politics, culture and social norms. It expanded my mind so far that I could see it brought me to a closer understanding of others. And if that has been happening to me I believe it could happen to others as well. Which hopefully can lead to a more peaceful future for all of us. It is also the reason why I think communication and understanding plays a huge role in our lives. That’s some of the importance I’ve come to learn while travelling.
