I had a great time at the hostel! Matea was so accommodating and made me feel right at home. The rest of the staff was great too. Dubrovnik is very beautiful and I hope to be back someday soon! Thank you Matea and Dario!

I had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel! The people were amazing and Derry is a lovely city with so much history. The bar scene is loads of fun at night with events going on all the time. I wish I could have stayed longer, I'll miss it! Thank you for everything Johnny, Tommy, and Jessica!

About me as an author

Hello! I'm a pint sized globetrotter fascinated by making connections and finding inspiring new places to explore.

Background

Education

I recently graduated from Sonoma State University in California. I double majored in Communications and French. I spent a year studying abroad in Paris, France my junior year and fell in love with Europe!

Work experience

Some of my favorite jobs have been working as a front desk agent at a hotel named Oxford Suites in Sonoma County, being a barista at my university's coffeeshop, and working as an ambassador for Sonoma State's international education. All these positions helped me become more comfortable working with people and giving them individualized service. As an ambassador I was able to meet all the international students and make sure they felt welcome during their time in the United States. I was in charge of posting a weekly student spotlight, where I interviewed a different student every week and a part of the marketing committee. As part of that committee, I was responsible for monitoring all social media platforms.

Travel experience

While studying abroad in Paris, I was able to travel to other countries in Europe as well. I loved every country I visited, but some of my personal favorites were Portugal, Ireland, Denmark, and the Czech Republic. Growing up, my family travelled to Central America often. I am half Salvadorian, so I also love visiting El Salvador. I hope to someday visit every country in the world!
