When a volunteer chooses us they will have the oppertunity to learn new skills, language, learn about our little city island & also get to explore with free tours we do for our guests from the hostel. Also they will have plenty of free time to explore & have fun themselves ....but the best part is meeting new people from all over the world who become friends for life!
When a traveler chooses to volunteer at our hostel we always treat them with respect & like family! They become apart of us. ...We like to make them feel at home away from home as we understand that they have probably been travelling for a short or long time or even first time! My name is Angelika... I'm Greek/Australian orn and bred in Tasmania & I have been living in Chania Crete Island since 2001 with my family. I was very excited to work with tourism here on Crete Island so I decided to open a little hostel & a tour office in the heart of the Old Harbour with all the attractions just walking distance and just a 10 min walk to the first local beach. It was the best dicison with the best location!!! Also I do alot of group tours with my guests to the the best famous beaches around the Island also alot of hikes to the white mountains & gorges! I offer for my volunteers a bed in a dorm & breakfast in the morning at thehostel for just a few hours per day of help.

I had a great experience volunteering in Boho City Hostel.
Angelika is very enthousiastic, supportive and flexible. The hostel is located right in the old town of Chania, so everything is in walking distance.
Angelika regularely took me and other guests on a day trip and showed us the most beautiful places in Crete.
The tasks were fun to do and not so hard. From April on, the season is starting, so it was not to crowded and busy yet, but that was perfect.
I met a lot of people from all over the world and made great memories with them.
I will definitely comeback :)

Mirte was an absolute pleasure to host and to have her help me with everything to do with the hostel...she was so helpful, trustworthy and excellent with our guests...I was surely sad when it was time for her to move on...but we hope she will come back again soon 🥰

This was my first Worldpackers exchange an incredible experience. The hostel location couldn't be better and Angelika was so lovely. I could go to her if I needed anything and she was really flexible and supportive. the whole experience was very relaxed as I visited in low season but there were still people around and things to do if you look for it

Eleanor was very helpful and trustworthy to host and to help me at my hostel...she interacted beautifully with our guests and also was always there for when we needed her on the daily basis...we hope she can join us again soon!

Angelika was an absolutely great host, she is very accommodating and has great recommendations for what to do while you are in Chania. The position involves simple check-ins, socializing, and some light maintenance of the hostel, all in exchange for free stay and some very generous groceries for your breakfast. The hostel is also in a wonderful location! Its right in the center of town and next to the harbor. There are several beaches in walking distance as well.

She completed her hostel tasks on the daily basis and was very trustworthy.
