We have been getting helpers through Australian Gumtree since the Cyclone wiped us out in 2010. Since then we have been trying to get back to where we were but have been hit by a further 3 cyclones the last one being Cyclone Debbie.
Helpers usually stay from one week to three months depending on their travel plans. Helpers have double or queen beds to sleep in. The Internet is available.

I loved my stay at Cedar Views. Mike is so nice and welcoming and i learned a lot about the work in the garden and how to keep this place nice. Every day was different and i was never bored during the work, time flew by.
The room is really nice and after work you have a lot of time to chill or to be a tourist. Mike always drops you off at the busstation and you have the chance to explore. Thank you for this nice experience🌴😊

I loved my stay at Cedar Views. Mike and Tania are very sweet, they welcomed me with great affection. I had a great time with them. Mike is a funny guy and loves doing his work around the house. The work is not difficult, and you learn a lot. Tania is a sweet person, she made some typical Ukrainian foods, she cooks really well. The house is a little far from the center, but Mike was committed to taking me to and picking me up at the bus stop. It was a great first experience.

I really enjoyed my time at cedar views. There was a mixture of tasks which meant that everyday was different and the work wouldn’t get boring. It also meant I learnt a lot of new skills which was absolutely something I was looking for in a home stay. It was also nice to be welcomed as a first time world packer without any previous experience!
After work is finished it is great to have the option to head into airlie beach as Mike would offer to drop us at the local bus stop - so there is plenty of time to look around airlie too and be a tourist.

Staying at Cedarviews was such a nice experience! I really enjoyed getting out into the garden in the mornings. The work can be quite hard but it was very rewarding and you get the rest of the day to chill! The property itself is stunning and I had such a lovely view of the forest from my room. Thank you so much Mike and Tanya for welcoming me into your home and letting me work for you!!

This was my first Worldpackers experience, & I loved it! The hours spent working went really quickly, and I learned lots about handyman work. Unfortunately I didn’t get to meet Tanya because she was away working, but Mike was so lovely and welcoming, and would even drop me off at the bus stop to Airlie beach on sunny days. I was never bored, on rainy days there was work I could do inside. I would 100% recommend volunteering with Mike and Tanya, and I hope to come back one day!
