Glenreasdale House

A warm welcome here in this historical house, lots going on in this arty place. I have had amazing reviews on Workaway, which sadly is not working now in the UK. I love the cultural exchange when people stay from allover the world.

Just me and the people that I teach, all my fiends who call in regularly. I am a working artist and printmaker, taking inspiration form the local environment. This is an eco friendly house and garden.

My experience with Karen was wonderful. I spent almost a month at her house working in the greenhouse and in the garden, also helping her with the house and cabin cleaning. Karen is a very nice person, very open, very caring. I felt that we connected very well, that we made a horizontal friendship and she was always willing to lend an ear and help for me. I have no words to express my stay with Karen, it is personal, we made a great friendship and I am happy to have planted the first seeds of the season and give the first stage of life to the greenhouse... welcome spring! Thank Karen !!!

My experience with Karen was simply wonderful. We learned a lot about construction and maintenance. We worked most of the time in the garden, and we were quite lucky with the weather. The house is super comfortable and Karen is a lovely person. She treated us with kindness and took care of us. Additionally, she lent us clothes and boots appropriate for working outside. I hope someday I can return and be able to contribute to other projects in this wonderful place. Thank you for everything! ♥

Karen is a very sweet person. She wished she had stayed longer at her house. It was a pleasure to help you with your projects and make you happy with the results. I had an absolutely lovely stay at Karen's. It was the perfect amount of routine and hibernation that I needed after several months of go, go, go travelling. We had delicious home-cooked meals every day, which I especially enjoyed helping out with, and the work was always different which kept things interesting. Karen was super flexible as I was also doing some part-time remote work so was able to work around hours if need. She was also lovely enough to take me around to a couple of nearby spots on the weekend so I also got to do some sight-seeing. I'm already missing the homemade bread!
