We are an open minded small team and are happy to welcome volunteers from all over the world. Our goal is to live sustainably, ecologically and self-sufficiently. We are building a community that wants to live sustainably, ecologically and almost self-sufficiently. For spring/summer (starting in April) 2024, we are looking for volunteers with experience in vegetable gardening and in planting and maintaining wildflower meadows. Also for wood chopping and stacking and other work around the house. In the spring of 2024, we would also like to install a new terrace. For our 2 vacation apartments we need assistance with cleaning according to booking situation. For the next few years, we plan to convert the horse stable into living space. If you are architects/construction linemen or carpenters etc it would be great you could support us!!! If you can speak German, we can also use support in the area of internet/booking management/marketing. If you have fun and experience in this area, please apply to us. We are really happy to accept couples!

It was my first Worldpackers experience, and I highly recommend it. There I could work with housekeeping, cleaning and my favorite: gardening. It is a huge property, so I did a lot of different things during my three weeks. Also, it is a good place if you are wondering to stay in touch with nature. Hof Sonnemeer is located ery close to the sea, and it is extremely calm, I loved it. Thank you, Hans and Ulrich, for having me there 🤗

I highly recommend this place, every day you want to freeze time so that the experience does not end. You can learn many new things and also have enough time to get to know the village and other surrounding towns. Ulrike and Hans are very welcoming and the accommodation is beautiful and the food is so delicious.

I have really enjoyed my time at Hof Sonnenmeer, the hosts Ulrike and Hans are so friendly and welcoming. They provided a really nice place to stay, we’re flexible with hours and really helped me with my german (because I wanted to learn more) but they also speak amazing English.
The area was so nice, and you can get to the sea or lakes within 10-20 minutes on the bikes provided.
