Communicating with guests even who's from Japan will be expected so much and I really make sure the traveller have that skill and experiences.

We appreciate you reading our information. Let me introduce you to our hostel. We opened this hostel on 1st June 2018 after renovation with a help of friends and local people for a year. The hostel is located in the central of Izu Peninsula, "Shuzenji", well known as one of the famous and historical onsen (hot spring). Some people say this onsen area seems to be like "little Kyoto". Bamboo forests, some onsen (including foot bath), historical temples, and also surrounded by lots of nature will make you feel relaxed. We've had 50% of Japanese guests and 50% guests from all over the world. Please look it up on the internet if you're interested in "Shuzenji". Then I'm manager here, Ryohey. My perspective on life had changed drastically because of the encounter of lots of people at the hostels while traveling in New Zealand . On my return home, I started planning for the hostel in my hometown Izu, where I grew up. I wanted to provide lots of chances where I myself would be the knot of encounter.

Hostel Knot was such a wonderful experience. The host, Ryohey, was amazing; he was friendly, cheerful and helpful. He provided me with lots of information about things to do around Shuzenji, which made my trip very enjoyable.
The work was simple and easy to do! The area is also incredibly beautiful, and there are a decent number of places to eat nearby the hostel. Our accommodation was clean and spacious and right by the bus stop that takes you to the station. Thanks so much to Ryohey and Yuki and also the lovely volunteers I worked with! Frankie and Camila you guys were the best!! :)

I had a great experience, I got to meet some wonderful people and also see some very cool places, Izu is so beautiful! The work is quite simple, but it also depends on the number of guests staying, however, it's just a couple of hours a day and you have the whole afternoon for yourself. Ryohey is a kind person and really easy to talk to. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience a more rural Japan. The town where the hostel is is very charming and there's a lot to do around. I already miss it. Thank you, Ryohey and Yuki, all the best! :)

I do not have the words to describe how much I loved my time in Shuzenji at Hostel Knot! I miss it already. Ryohey is a fantastic host and is very communicative. The work at Hostel Knot is only a few hours per day; easy and fair. Always working with someone else makes the time pass very quickly! The rest of the time is yours to explore the beautiful town - there is so much to see and do, and everyone is lovely. I was provided with my own flat to live in and made fast friends with the other volunteers (Camila and Kay if you see this I miss you!). Thank you so much Hey - I will return :)

Very relaxing time, the work is easy and takes little time. Ryohey is always helpful and can be contacted in no time if you need him. Would definitely recommend if you want some quiet time in nature
