My time with Vince went by too fast. We did hands on work such as reorganizing, making concrete, and plastering walls. It was enjoyable work. I then created a stone mosaic which was my favorite part. Vince took me around town to the historical areas. He also took me to Derry to explore which I loved. The only thing I would tell other volunteers is about the WiFi problem. If your a person like me, WiFi adds that extra layer of feeling safe. You have to go up to the tower to get reception. It’s not a big deal but it is something to be aware about. Overall, I had a great time!

Es un lugar mágico, que como voluntario puedes explorarte a ti mismo en un lugar aislado de las comunicaciones, puedes desconectarte de la cotidianidad y conectarte con la naturaleza, el mar, las cabras, el viento, las aves y los delfines.
Pondrás a prueba tus habilidades artísticas, manuales, de construcción y de aceptar cambios en los cronogramas iniciales.
Cuando llegues piensa en algo creativo qué dejar cómo huella de tu paso por este lugar.
Vincent ofrece comida deliciosa, sus historias acompañarán las cenas.

The days spent with Vincent flew by. We worked hard and almost built all the furniture for the cottage in 7 days, the rest of the days we relaxed and he took me with the car to discover the beautiful surroundings. The accommodation was superb and always a nice food. He was very patient with my English and he taught me a lot. Simply thank you.

Serena was a superb and talented worker. She is a very interesting person and great company. She was fully focussed on all tasks and her woodworking and decorating skills were tremendous. We achieved a great deal of the planned work in just seven days and it was a pleasure to have her stay. She is also a superb cook and made delicious meals. She will always be welcome back to our Irish home. She will be a great asset to any project that is fortunate enough to acquire her services. I enjoyed working with her immensely.
Serena also worked hard to improve her use and understanding of a wide range of English vocabulary.
I wish her all the best in her future travels and career.
Serena fully appreciated the amazing landscape and special places we visited.
