The hostel is located in a smallcity so the locals aren't that used to seeing tourists, but they are mostly welcoming.Be aware that the work is basically cleaning the common areas and welcoming guests and that's nice to see that they're trying to build a community space that's open for everyone.However, there weren't many guests so if you're looking for a more touristy/party experience you might get bored. El ambiente tranquilo de la ciudad y su auténtico encanto local lo convierten en una experiencia única, perfecta para quienes buscan comunidad por encima de multitudes. The host never communicated with respect toward others,which made all the environment very awkward and uncomfortable. We would have to get up at 7am to do chores while he sat down and demand orders. The place was nice actually, too bad there were bedbugs, in which he said we weren't cleaning properly. There are no proper doors in the dorms, that means there is never a really good flow of fresh air or a consistent A/C. The only good thing about all this, are the other amazing volunteer that I met here. After 4 days, we all decided to leave this place.

La señorita Darincka llegó a nuestro hostal para el servicio de voluntariado en la fecha real, después de entender nuestro flujo de trabajo y políticas mediante una conversación oficial en la plataforma Workpacker. Desafortunadamente, ella usó nuestra oferta gratuita de comida y alojamiento, después de recorrer la ciudad, y se fue con otro voluntario.

Como se fue sin realizar ningún trabajo para nosotros, decidimos marcarla como No-show en el sistema para terminar este intercambio innecesario y sin sentido...

The hosts seemed really nice at first, but after a couple of hours I saw how they really are. From the first moment I arrived they were talking bad about other (past) volunteers and a current one who had an accident and broke their sink. They continuously shamed him in front of everyone and just made the environment unwelcoming and uncomfortable. There was also police involved (because of the sink) and so the environment got even worse. After that the host seemed pissed off and I felt unsafe. Left after 2 days without saying anything, just sending a message (rude ik but it felt safest)

Estamos haciendo nuestro mejor esfuerzo para perdonar lo que Kai nos hizo y elegir comentar sobre sus trabajos, particularmente porque creemos que no es la forma correcta de mantener rencores personales y continuar peleando innecesariamente entre nosotros.
Aunque hemos tratado con muchos viajeros y voluntarios todo este tiempo, especialmente también solíamos quedarnos en otros lugares como voluntarios antes de empezar este hostal, esta es nuestra primera vez en la que nos encontramos con una voluntaria tan irrespetuosa e irresponsable como Kai, que todavía tiene el descaro de hablar mal de su anfitrión que le ofreció comidas gratis y 2 días de alojamiento en una habitación con aire acondicionado, aunque se negó a realizar su tarea como puesto de Contenido de Medios y se escapó repentinamente mientras el gerente todavía dormía para recuperarse del caos causado por ella.
De hecho, todas sus quejas en su reseña fueron creadas por ella y comenzaron con ella.
Para mantener nuestro principio anterior, decidimos mantener la historia verdadera en privado y damos la bienvenida a aquellos anfitriones interesados en alojar Kai para que nos envíen un mensaje privado para que podamos ayudar al anfitrión a tomar su decisión.

YUANG was an amazing experience. We are very grateful with you guys, because you gave us many advices and info for enjoy our time in Kluang. Also they took us to different places where we had the chance to know more about the local life, how people works day by day and obviously made us closer to the asian culture.
