La Experiencia

I am Eqab and I come from the beautiful region of Wadi Rum in Jordan. I live in the Wadi Rum village in the Wadi Rum desert, one of the most beautiful places in Jordan. I am a Bedouin tourist guide who has lived here my whole life. I would like to share my love of the desert with other people. I need volunteers to help me with writing content for my website, taking photos/videos, helping with social media. Coding skills are highly desirable.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the lodge and couldn't have wished for better host than Eqab. His warm-hearted personality made me feel welcomed and comfortable from the first moment. During my volunteering in the desert he ensured that I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay there. Eqab needed help with social media and content writing. I was taken on the lodge to see the most mesmerising landscapes of the desert, had the opportunity to get to know Bedouin culture and enjoyed delicious traditional food. the lodge is truly magical place and I am grateful for this experience.

Very nice experience. Local nature are fantastic, people very kind and friendly. All people who I met in the disert was very simple and attentive. So I m from Ukraine, where is still going the war. .. So I came with a little depression, first days I feel more horror in me, but it was understood that it was long time in me, but the disert takes everything on the top( feel stronger): all our fires, didn't-end relationship, for example... So with everyday I felt beter. and in the end of my trip I stared to realise my real senses and goals.Eqab very nice person, attentive and kind..

My first Worldpackers venture has been truly remarkable and will likely remain etched in my memory for years to come. The incredible beauty of the desert and the authentic hospitality of my host, Eqab, created an unparalleled experience. Immersed in the daily life of the lodge, from desert expeditions to the lodge-friendly initiatives, I deeply connected with Bedouin culture and traditions. My interactions with Eqab's family enhanced the experience significantly. My role primarily involved creating social media content as a photographer and filmmaker, occasionally assisting with website.

The experience was absolutely AMAZING! Great place, great view, great hospitality! Thanks to Eqab for hosting such a beautiful stay and for making sure we had everything we needed! He is also doing an incredible job by taking care of the desert area and everyday we went to clean it from the garbage. The camp in the desert was unique, beautiful sunsets, silence and anyone should have this experience at least once in a lifetime! Also the lodge in the desert are super exiting and organized, so many beautiful places! Best place makes best memories! For sure we'll come back in the near future!

Our experience in the lodge camp was great, we can only recommend it! Here you will meet the nicest people and Eqab is a very nice host who makes sure you have an amazing time, the best the lodge in the desert to visit the attractions, and everything else you need for making your staying perfect! Eqab is also doing an incredible job by taking care of the desert area and everyday we went to clean it from the garbage. Many people should know about this place because you won't regret if you ever get here!
