La Experiencia

My wife and I have very busy lives! 3 dogs, admin of 150 International Students across UK and running a tennis club. All done from our home. Your role would be to help us improve our efficiencies across all aspects of what we do. Including dog walking, landscaping, office admin, laundry and cleaning. Evenings free after 6pm and you’ll get 2 days off to explore the beautiful area we live in.

I arrived in Wales with the intention of connecting with nature and enjoying the idea of caring for dogs. However, I leave with more than I expected. I leave with the lesson of how important it is for me (and for the world) to live in a community. My soul wouldn't have felt at home if I hadn't shared beautiful moments with all of you. I was treated like a brother and a son. I noticed how we cared for each other's needs as if they were our own. Thank you for being a part of this humanity. It's my first time experiencing a sense of community in another language. Wishing you all the best :)

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be able to do this volunteering. Everything was wonderful: the hosts Andrew and Down very kind and always available; the engaging housework and respecting the set hours; The parks and the fascinating surrounding nature; their dogs super loving; the delicious meals and the fun chats. We felt at home. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier for personal reasons but I was very happy to have had this experience. I recommend it to everyone!

Dawn and Andrew were fantastic and this experience with them couldn't have gone better. We visited beautiful places in Wales and enjoyed exquisite dishes cooked by them (truly delicious! 🇮🇹✅). The work was flexible and varied based on daily needs. Grace, Max, and Cookie are incredibly sweet, and taking them out was more of a pleasure than a job, especially in an area with lots of greenery. We felt greatly enriched by this experience. They'll make you feel at home right away and never put pressure on you. Try to give your best in the small things because with them, you'll receive the best! ❤️

I couldn't ask for a better worldpackers experience first. Dawn and Andrew made us feel at home since the first moment we arrived. The work was not difficult at all and we were able to enjoy lots of free time to discover Wales. Grace, Max and Cookie are three adorable dogs and you will fall in love with them too. It was an amazing month, we loved everything from the night watching movies and eating treats to the trips discovers together to discover Wales, also evening talking and playing and much more, we had a lot of fun. Thanks for everything Dawn and Andrew, see you again soon!❤️

We absolutely enjoyed staying at Mainhouse, Andrew and Dawn are very kind and lovely people. We also fall in love with cookie, max and grace. Three amazing dogs! We had enough free time to see the stunning nature around Rhayader and da few trips to nearest city's. It was incredible 3 weeks, tasks weren't difficult and we had fun! Thank you Andrew and Dawn❤️
