La Experiencia
Hi! We are looking for help with out little Hotel and Hostel at the beautiful island of Öland in Sweden. We will be busy from mid june until beginning of october. we take turns serving breakfast and we will teach you how to do housekeeping. its a good skill to know how to clean a hotel room! Me sofie and my dog Lily lives on the spot and together will be working and cooking and accationally have one or two beers together. if you want ofcourse!

My experience in the hostel was incredible! Sofie and Henrik are very friendly and kind, Lily is very calm and lovely, thank you all for everything! Löttorp is a small village but very cozy, if you're looking for a place to calm down, relax and be in contact with nature, that's the right place. I had a lot of free time and Sofie is very flexible with the schedule! The tasks are very easy and simple, mainly cleaning. 100% recommend 🥰

I spent an incredible time at the hostel! Thanks to Sofie and Henrik, I felt at home within a few days. The island is beautiful, there's a bike path around Öland. It's great to explore the surroundings and nature. Keep in mind that outside of high-season, there're not many shops open and not so many buses (it was nearly impossible to go on the main land during week-ends). I was there during September, which IS NOT high-season. So we had bearly any guests. The tasks were given the day before and always simple. It could be done in less than 5 hours. We were free to organize our day as we wanted.

I couldn't have asked for more for this volunteer experience. Since the first day I arrived, Sofie, Hendrik, and Lily have been so nice, friendly, and supportive. The schedule is so flexible and the tasks are clearly instructed that I can spend a lot of time exploring the island and even having my me-time. I feel like being part of a family because we (hosts and other volunteers) have spent a lot of time bonding. Thank you Sofie and Hendrik, I learned and gained a lot. Highly recommend it to everyone <3.

The place is wonderful. Sophie and Henrick will take care of you as if you are part of their family. Which is exactly what it felt like my whole stay, thar we were a big family. The island has a lush nature, and bikes are provided for you to explore everywhere. The workload is not much and well structured, which gives you plenty of free time for your own activities. Thanks a lot for the opportunity, I learned a lot about hospitality and met wonderful people at this place ❤️

I couldn't have asked for a better first experience as a volunteer. Since day 1, Sofie and Öland made me feel at home. She trusted me and explained everything in detail, which was truly amazing considering the cultural as well as language differences. I was fortunate also to meet people from around the globe and build a beautiful group/family that I am sure I wont forget as many of them have became good friends. The schedule is flexible and I had plenty of time to visit many places on the island, connect with nature and enjoy stunning sunsets. I highly recommend it <8.
