Lo pasé muy bien en la casa de Agathe y Clement. Inmediatamente me sentí bienvenido/a y respetado/a. El alojamiento (un dormitorio y un baño privados) fue mucho más de lo que esperaba. Las tareas asignadas estaban bien explicadas. Tuve que hacer jardinería la mayor parte del tiempo (tiempo agradable), algo de limpieza (mal tiempo) y, ocasionalmente, cuidar de Basile. Me encantó mi estancia con Agathe, Clement y el pequeño Basile! Me sentí parte de la familia de inmediato. El trabajo fue muy claro y explicado bien. Pasar tiempo con Basile fue muy divertido, es un niño tan adorable. También hubo mucho tiempo para explorar las ciudades locales, lo cual fue genial! Quedarse con Agathe, Basile y Clement fue una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido durante mis viajes por Nueva Zelanda hasta ahora! Son increíbles, me hicieron sentir muy bienvenido y me incluyeron como parte de la familia. Los horarios eran realmente flexibles y el trabajo era en su mayoría fácil. Tuve la oportunidad de celebrar mi Navidad en el extranjero con ellos y fue realmente agradable. No solo aprendí sobre el estilo de vida kiwi, sino también sobre la cultura francesa. Estuve con Agathe y Clément (y el pequeño Basile) durante un mes y ¡fue maravilloso! Una habitación muy agradable para alojarse, con baño privado, y la pareja es muy amable. Hice mucho trabajo al aire libre, construyendo jardines y algo de paisajismo, y ocasionalmente alimentando a las vacas de la granja. Su casa también está cerca de la plaza del pueblo, a unos 5 minutos a pie. A veces cocinaba yo, a veces ellos cocinaban, pero siempre cenábamos juntos y, en general, fue una experiencia relajante.

Being welcomed by Clement and Agathe was a truly unforgettable experience. Everything is just as they mentioned in their description: a few hours of work around the house to enjoy sitting at the table with them for each meal. They have opened their home with never-ending kindness, and my time with them flew by! I would recommend the experience to anyone willing to be flexible and wants to take a look at a rural New Zealand lifestyle from an immigrant family.

I had a really good experience staying with this lovely family! They made me feel welcome from the beginning, and I really enjoyed helping out with various tasks. Their cooking was delicious, and it was always nice to share meals together. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and their little son was absolutely adorable, the little monster always brought some joy and energy into the day. I'm very grateful for the time I spent there and would definitely recommend staying with them!

My experience at Whangarei was memorable. Agathe is definitely a top host, no doubt about it. She's kind and attentive to others, always making sure we felt comfortable and part of the family. Basile is adorable and full of energy! We shared delicious meals and many joyful moments together. As for work, we enjoyed a variety of stimulating tasks, both indoors and outdoors; it was fun and engaging! The small village they live in, is just paradisiac. With beach and hikes nearby, it was really nice enjoying nature in the afternoon and on days off. I would definitely recommend this experience!
