Ho passato giorni rilassanti nella pensione. Era bassa stagione, quindi il lavoro era abbastanza tranquillo. E fondamentalmente aiuto nella colazione. Tutti quelli che lavorano lì sono stati davvero gentili con me. Dato che non c'erano altri volontari, avevo la stanza tutta per me. E ho anche fatto lezioni di surf con Ashan, quello è stato sicuramente il momento migliore. Mi fa piacere aver potuto restare a Ohana. Grazie mille 🙏🏼

Questa è stata la mia prima esperienza Worldpackers! Il mio obiettivo prima di arrivare alla casa degli ospiti era imparare a fare surf e conoscere gente del posto e altri viaggiatori, e ho avuto la fortuna che questi obiettivi si siano realizzati qui. L'intero personale della casa ospiti è incredibilmente diligente e li rispetto molto. La casa ospiti si trova in una posizione incredibile in Sri Lanka, essendo così vicina alla spiaggia e a ristoranti deliziosi. L'unico aspetto negativo è che si trova proprio accanto a una strada principale, quindi può essere rumoroso a causa del traffico. In generale, se vuoi fare surf o imparare e conoscere persone incredibili, questo è il posto :)

Ho fatto volontariato presso Ohana, ho davvero apprezzato il mio soggiorno e mi sono sentito a mio agio fin dall\'inizio. Il lavoro era come concordato e abbiamo avuto molto tempo libero per esplorare la città e i suoi dintorni. Lavorare con i locali è stato molto divertente ed una grande esperienza. L\'atmosfera era molto calorosa e familiare, e l\'alloggio era accogliente e confortevole. Siamo riusciti a usare le tavole da surf e addirittura partecipare alle lezioni di surf se volevamo, il che è stato un grande momento culminante. Ho conosciuto persone incredibili e ho fatto molte nuove amicizie. In generale, consiglio molto questo volontariato!

Ho passato i momenti migliori della mia vita al guest house! Paula e Rudolfo sono gli host più gentili e ti fanno davvero sentire parte di una grande famiglia. I miei compiti giornalieri consistono nel preparare la colazione per gli ospiti e dare una mano con le pulizie. Ho anche potuto usare le loro tavole da surf ogni volta che volevo, e mi hanno motivato a progredire molto nel mio surf. L'intero team della guest house è incredibile. Ho trascorso innumerevoli ore a ridere con Ashan, Kauchi e Chamil — mi mancherà davvero stare con loro ogni giorno 🥲 Grazie per aver fatto sentire questo posto come casa ❤️

If I could, I'd give the guest house 10 stars! From day one, I felt at home. Paula and Rudolfo aren't just great hosts – they make you feel like family (just with more surfboards in the backyard). My time here was a mix of work, laughter, surfing, and unforgettable people. the guest house is where you build connections that last longer than my sunburn. If you're looking for the perfect balance of work, surf, and chill with amazing people – this is it. Thank you for everything.

Our volunteer experience at the guest house was unique. the guest house-Team is working very hard Still they were caring and very supportive trough our whole stay at the Guest-House, especially Paula. The work we did was mostly helping as kitchen hands at the breakfast, and checking the clients rooms. Most of the time we started at 7:30 am and finished the work around 2:30/3pm. We appreciated participating in some surflessons. The room we stayed in was very comfortable - it was very cozy and with a private bathroom. To use the kitchen was great and the atmosphere at the guest house was very authentic. Thank you

The guest house was my first experience volunteering and the only downside of that is, that I don't think any other experience will ever come close to how amazing my time here was! The room we stayed at was beautiful, the people were so welcoming and kind and even tho I only stayed for a weeks (wish I would've stayed longer) the guest house truly feels like family. The work was definitely doable for what you get in return. I'm gonna miss it so much and can recommend this experience to everyone!

The guest house is a very special place. Immediately after arriving, I felt so welcomed into a family. It really did feel like a home away from home! I was able to learn how to surf, meet locals, practice Spanish, and more! I volunteered for 2 weeks, and I wish I could've stayed longer! The work is simple, and the accommodation is just beautiful! The owners are so kind, and they make dinner each night for the volunteers! I would highly recommended this Worldpackers because it was so great, and Sri Lanka is just incredible!! Thank you, the guest house <3

Volunteering at the guest house was absolutely amazing! Paula, Rodolfo, the whole team and the other volunteers made me feel so welcome and after volunteering there for one month it feels like a home away from home for me. The work was easy and I could learn a lot of new things. Shifts are in the morning (mainly 7:30am - max. 1:30pm) which gives you plenty of time to explore the area after work. I met so many wonderful people and could really enjoy my time there, also because the room in which I was staying was very comfortable (A/C, clean, etc). I'm very grateful for my time and can recommend it 100%!
